Film Any movies or shows actually worth watching ?

I don't know if Cocaine Bear is any good or not but I can assure y'all that it is based on a true story. I vividly remember the events... lemme know if ya want details.

Severance on AppleTV+ is one of the best television shows i’ve ever seen. only 2 seasons out with the 3rd in the works. it’s pretty trippy, deals a lot with the mind, consciousness, and identity. lotta psychological thriller cult vibes.

similarly, Pluribus on AppleTV+ is incredible so far. made by the same director of Breaking Bad and Better Caul Saul (which are also great shows.) only 1 season with more on the way, but it’s really good so far. the world gets taken over by a peaceful, loving hivemind with a biological imperative to assimilate everyone. the story follows one of the handful of people who aren’t assimilated with everyone else.

i really enjoyed Maniac on Netflix, too. it’s only a 1 season miniseries, can watch it all in one night. it’s a great show, it’s also real trippy and deals a lot with the mind and trauma following 2 subjects of a clinical trial for a new treatment for trauma

No. Everything is shit now.

I have been somewhat enjoying the TV show of The 'Burbs (kinda remake of the 80s movie), but tbf it stars Kekei Palmer and I love her so I probably rate it higher than it deserves.

everything?

when were movies and tv shows not shit for you? what kinds of shows and movies have you enjoyed in the past?

alasdair

I was being hyperbolic. There's a lot of good out there.
But I do feel like so many movies (except horror, strangely) now are just soulless sequels, remakes, reboots or franchise cash-grabs.
And I hate that so many (mostly actresses but some actors, too) have had so much work done and so much botox/fillers that their faces are expressionless and can't convey any emotion. They used to make stars out of expressive faces and now they cast faces that can't move.
I also hate the netflixification of TV shows.
