Any Lengths (A half-way house)

I never dreamed it would be this way, a constant battle everyday.
Sometimes I'de rather slit my wrists, then be a man and use my fists.
Then I realized how much I missed it, when I came back home.

I've been up all night and day, just searching for that high today.
And it hurts to see you all, don't want to stay so you can watch me fall.
Tears are rolling down my face, my mind is gone it's an empty space.

I might say things are going well, but theirs alot that I won't tell.
Now watch them back away from me, who once were friends I'de always see.
Just believe everything is meant to be, and maybe this is my road to recovery.

Even though I'm back where I once was, the same old friends and a killer buzz.
I might have lost the fight today, but it doesn't mean things will never change.
It's been a while since I've prayed, wheres the hope I had that one day?

I always like reading your poems smoothchilli, they have this undeniable beat to them that just grabs the eader and pulls them along for the ride...

You know there are some that say that you can never go home, as it's just an ideal. Something of wanting and is rarely obtainable. This is because home changes as soon as you leave it, the people, your family. Home is where you make it, not something you can go back to.
