Any Irish out there?

Shame to see limerick city centre such bad shape, plenty of opportunities for the knacker spotter though, real exotics on the streets down there, that said I had a few overnights in it and always enjoyed it.

My mother's people are from Limerick and Mayo, so I don't mean to cause any offence.
Nah, thats old news now Sammy! nothing to do in this city, no wonder we are all addicted haha[/QUOTE]

Ah, you're all junkies now? :D

Hope you understood my little bit of pidgin Irish, btw. My father used to take the piss, but he learned pretty much every subject at school through the medium of Irish, and spent time in the Gaeltacht, so I didn't have a hope.

Hiya Evey, not much to do in limerick im afraid, no city left, all the shopping is out in the suburbs now, as for greenery, im not sure about that, everywhere i look is stone lol

Ah, maybe they meant the drive from Dublin to Limerick had a lot of greenery. It was a long time ago since I went to Dublin, s*** 11 yeaes ago now time goes fast. They said summit like to go to Limerick from Dublin would would be a few hours drive.

I'd like to travel around Southern Ireland someday.

My father and I were planning a drive through what he called 'Sean-Bhean bhocht-land' before he started deteriorating. Of course, he barely recognised Cork from what it was when he left.

I'm going as far out of the city as Bantry, because it's an important town for our family. If I were staying a little longer, I'd be tempted to wander further.

How long you going for, Sammy?

Only been to Eire once, driving round with a mate and got to some podunk hellhole in the middle of nowhere eating in a cafe and the owner came over and said in a quiet voice "They don't like english people around here son, you could be better off getting out of town as soon as you can". It was like those two old folk on league of gentlemen "We'll have no trouble here".

rofl i fucking love that show!!!!

Lovely, lovely, lovely song - potentially divisive though, don't you think? For those of us not of the persuasion, I mean.

I know most of the best ones tend to be, but... :D

Divisive but also not much incorrect in the lyrics. You are correct though the majority of the best songs are best kept here in Ireland :)

No, the lyrics are spot on IMO.

I'm thinking some right-footed / atheist / Buddhist / non-Republican Norn Iron folk might object, rather than the British contingent, who won't have a clue what Tommy was on about anyway. ;)

Good taste.
