Any interactions between stimulant laxatives and stimulants ?

I normally take senokot-s with my opiate to combat constipation and have been prescribed adderall recently as well. I was just making sure I am still fine to tak these with no interactions. I know it probably sounds stupid, but I didn't know since it is considered a stimulant as well.

Also, your oral opiates/drugs won't be absorbed properly since your GI tract is pushing contents so quickly. Unless you take a massive amount of opiates, I would just choose between one or the other.

The problem is that I need my pain med ( nothing major ; just 10mg Hydro ) and I don't like how "geeked" I feel when taking the adderall alone. I like how the slight opiate takes away the adderalls negative effects. My GI tract is very slow ( so slow I had my colon removed because it quit functioning ) so shitting a lot is not an issue. Lol

But no, youll just be shitting your guts out. Stimulants already make you do that. Have fun!
 
If you don't like how geeked the L-amp from Adderall makes you, then just ask your doc for Dexedrine (pure dextroamphetamine, not tweaky at all) instead. He won't even look at you weird, since you have documented GI issues. Adderall is known for causing GI pain due to the dirtiness of Levoamphetamine.

This is much better than using opiates and risking addiction just to reduce the geek. Using one drug to help with problems caused from other drugs will send you down the fast path to polydrug addiction, for real.
 
I have a many GI issues and GI pain, and the only stimulant that doesn't have an unbearable GI upset is Desoxyn, which still upsets my GI but to a much lesser degree than d-amphetamine, and methylphenidate.
 
Methylphenidate makes some people piss everywhere. (me)
Mixed with laxatives, probably looking at some serious dehydration.

Not sure if adderall can have that (duretic I think is the word) pissing a lot effect.
 
E_M Is on the right path: seek an alternative to the adderall from your doctor. You're a perfect example of why there are various options for nearly the same chemical. :thumbup:

Thanks for the responses. Everything I have read made it sound like your doctor would look at you like an addict if you ask for dexedrine so I have always been nervous to ask. I will take you guys advice and talk to my doc about it in a few days.

No problem! :) We're not here to tell you how to obtain prescriptions, but don't use slang words like "dex," "geeked," or "dirtiness," lol. Dexedrine still has undeserved stigma surrounding it, unfortunately, much like Valium. Just be honest with your doctor using normal terminology and things will work themselves out. If not, there are plenty of other doctors out there.
