Any ideas on how to make pot smoking more enjoyable?

misd smoked since he was 13 and its only been several years and he feels the same as you and was only a heavy smoker for about 2 years pretty much hourly. MIssed likes stayin regular than smokin. Maybe its because of his real drug he loves. Pot is meaningless to him
 
I dunno I guess taking a break doesn't help very much for some people but I find it quite useful to take a nice break every now and then (or at the very least skip a day now and then).
 
That's what i did, and i couldn't be happier with my decision. :)

Seriously, i started developing seriously fucked up psychological problems from smoking weed. Lets see heroin start to induce psychosis.


But please avoid opiates if you have no self control. It really is extremely simple to avoid addiction, but only if you actually want to avoid it.

another thing that i like to do is kind of make a "smoking date" with myself. instead of just picking up the bowl when i've got nothing better to do, i'll make a plan to wait until a certain time/occassion (going outside late at night, hiking somewhere beautiful, after a tough workout, etc). this both decreases tolerance so you get higher AND puts you in a mindset where you feel better about your use as well.

I loove taking a walk on the trail smoking.
I definitely agree with the reward system. That's how I roll... at night when I've got everything done.
 
If it's not enjoyable then don't do it. Why force yourself to do something that is not enjoyable? That doesn't make any since. When it's time for you to smoke again you will know

I think i figured out my promblem.Lately ive been deppressed,and when i smoke,sometimes it makes me uncomfortable and un social.
So last week i went to the beach in oregon and i felt happy again,alive.and when i smoked i felt a great euphoric stoned.i really enjoyed myself.
So when im happy i get a happy stoned.
 
Every drug and everything loses its magic and can turn rotten :P Watch your monthly heroin use turn boring and turn into an addiction lol

Spot on. Pot is a sensitizer, and while sometimes you can be in a shitty mood and smoke and it'll put a nice grin on your face, that effect can wear off quickly, particularly if you're seriously depressed. Speaking from experience, it can become quite a crutch in this regard and yes, the fun factor kind of disappears even if you don't have a high tolerance. When I'm self medicating with weed at my worst, I'll still get really high, but I'll be in a depressive funk and just slouch in the chair staring out the window.

Pot is a mild psychedelic, and like any other set and setting is important. If you're feeling great, when you smoke pot, you'll feel even better. If you're feeling shitty, you can't count on weed to just snap you out of it if your bad mood is attributed to anything more serious than something pretty superficial.
 
naw mann just do sumthing stupid like play hide and go seek wen ur relly high - or hang out with s1 who has a lower tallerance and get them relly high ull be so busy laffing ur ass off at them

or if u dont allready smoke better weed thats wut i did , and if ur older u should only smoke good cronic anyway but ill bet u already do, - like wut do u usally do after u get high, do somthing els go for a walk , i said i was getting usted to being high then i smoked sum purple crazy bud it was like i was in that movie pinnaple express

or the best idea is to take a break then get back into it slow after a break its like the highs u get wen u first started smoking

Let me tell you what I do!!! =]

And naturally this wont be for everyone but this is honestly what I look forward to the most now during my days/weeks.

MUSIC!! But not that simple.

First, find out what music you like, rap, country, trance, etc (mine is trance)
Then go out and buy a DAW (digital audio workstation)

I started 7 years ago, built myself a studio, got a lot of equipment (which you absolutely dont need to have fun) and I'll smoke then make music.
Its fun because you trick yourself into thinking your tiesto (for trance lovers) jay z (for rap lovers) and you get completley lost in the beats.

Its prob very close to the concept of hypnotizing yourself, theres a lot of times where hours will dissappear and I have no idea how it even happened.
But I cant understand the one guy who said exercising on it.

I could never lift when Im high.
 
I tried quiting for 10 months cause of u.a.s then smoked after 10 months and nothing change,just a more intense high...mabey my brain has just outgrowned pot...but i still smoke it everynight before i go to bed.

Thanks for ur ideas....and no im not stupid enough to mix my pot with crack.i have had my crack head days.

if you're looking for that giddy euphoria that you remember experiencing from pot long ago and can't get it back after a 10-month break then i'm willing to bet you need to smoke a different kind of pot.

not all strains produce that "omfg-everything-is-so-great-right-now" feeling... sometimes you just get stoned.
 
i think your problem is mind set, i found this too, but i stopped as soon as i noticed it happening, i got in the spiral of thinking things like "everyone thinks less of me because im a weed smoker, ive become so anti-social" etc. When i stopped i didnt just stop and be misserable because i had no buds, i tryed to change those things that made me feel down when i was high. I rejuvinated my social life, simply by talking to those friends i kind of lost touch with because of my useage, and got out of the habbit of talking about drugs all the time. any back on track, what im saying is if you stop to let your tolerance go back down, try improve those things that get you down, it worked for me ALOT. getting high has its magic back :) good luck to you, and yes if you accomplish something, having a smoke to reward yourself is a good thought pattern to get into
