So I played my first game of D&D last night with a bunch of friends, some I know irl, some I don't. We played online over voice chat and a program called maptool (http://www.rptools.net/index.php?page=maptool), and it was really fun. We haven't gotten far into the roleplaying side of it yet as we're just getting the hang of maptool and how to play, but I already see what all the fuss is about.
If you're curious, we're playing 3.5e, I'm a human rogue, and the rest of our party: elf druid, elf wizard, dwarf ranger.
I've played some D&D based PC games before like ToEE and NWN, but never the real thing until now.
Any other players here?
Favourite classes? Campaigns? Any tips for a beginner like me?
