Any chance of a Bluelight meet-up??

In my younger days 10-15 years ago I was heavily into my Detroit & Berlin stuff. Been to Tresor in Berlin a couple of times, it was like a pilgrimage.

That's proper insane techno tho! I prefer the old skool techno from around the early to mid 90's. Liked early happy hardcore til it got shit around 96. Always loved my jungle and dnb but prefer jump up dnb. Always enjoy a good top buzz set when I'm mash up :D

Never been massively into DnB - although I ended up at a DnB night in Bratislava once which I enjoyed. It was in an old bunker type place called The Sub Club (which funnily enough is also a house/techno club that I used to frequent in Glasgow).

I like my acid house/techno too. Went to see the acid legends Hardfloor last December, awesome stuff.

Shit, I almost decked the guy selling lollipops at Tresor... I think I was one of the few people that wasn't on mdxx and coke. Not really my scene, but the bouncers were amazingly friendly. Must be a German thing.

I love techno when I'm off my face on mandy, its the only time I'd listen it tho. My fav is jungle techno (basically old skool)

It was always terrible hits from the 80s for me, I think I was doing it wrong. Mind I've danced to the fucking Eastenders theme on MD so.

Yeah, both times I've been the bouncers were sound as a pound. Although, second time I was there I queued for over 2 hours get in as Robert Hood was playing. It was January and fucking baltic. Made some pals in the queue, one guy even went to the shop and brought back beers for a few of us.

Tresor is some place. Relentless downstairs, thought I was going to pass out it was so utterly intense.

the Sub Club is my favourite place to go to in Glasgow @MUSHET - Subculture etc.. Canny beat a wee dance to some fine techno/house.

Some awesome nights over the years, Jeff Mills a few years ago was incredible - bouncers and bar staff dancing away!

Unfortunately, I have been chucked out once or twice (fuck knows why, probably something silly). It was the same bouncer and he still recognises me, in recent times when I go up to the door he says 'No tonight pal, you were too fucked last time'.

Eh?! It was fucking years ago ya tramp. It's like the image of my face has been burned into his brain - so not been in aaaaaggggggeessssss.

Used to also love Pressure at the Arches (RIP devastated that they shut it, actually sickening).

Shit, I was at Jeff Mills that night tae! :)
That's a gutter lol they can be quite strict when they want to be. My pal got knocked back at Dave Clarke one night but because there was a good few of us (who weren't just as fucked) they let him in in the end!

RIP Pressure (at the arches). Indeed, such a loss :( <3... Not been to SW3G yet

Aye. Sad, sad news and not just for the clubbing side of things.

Been to SW3G once but not for Pressure. I was a bit intoxicated, so I can't really comment on the venue. I do remember dancing away having a great night though.

Have to agree with you on that you can't beat old skool hardcore

92 - 95ish was the fuckin best imo

I'd rather Bristol but that's too southern for most. I'd settle for Manchester tho but its a mission, any further north than that I'll have to leave it. when abouts would we be doing this?

Think there's more chance of catching Loch Ness than narrowing anything down. I'd prefer Bristol, but Manchester is closer/more amenable.
