Anxiety Rx - Paranoia or something else?

I've dealt with pretty strong anxiety issues my whole adult life (roughly 12 years). Benzos work for me. That's my experience. However, I cannot get a legit Rx for klonopin, xanax, whatevs. Doctors just won't pull the trigger, even after exhaustive explanations of how SSRI's and other anti-D's that I've tried failed miserably. In fact, I tried wellbutrin and celexa before I ever tried klonopin. They always then say, "Well, benzos are very addictive and the withdrawals are pretty intense." ok...

Now, about how I can't get a Dr to prescribe them, I'm not asking for advice to score. My issue is that I got WD's from stopping celexa. Other SSRI's the same. So, what's goin on here? Is this just a flaw in our American Health System? Are doctors so paranoid of people selling prescription drugs that they just won't take the risk when someone presents a real case for it?

I do look young. That may factor into it.

If, for example, celexa gave me terrible headaches and depersonalization during WD, how is that any different than the WD symptoms of benzos? I don't care what I take really as long as it helps me function and isn't killing me. Why do doctors intentionally TRY OUT all these anti-depressants to treat anxiety (especially when I've never even mentioned depression) when we both know that a benzo WILL DEFINITELY work? Not every patient, especially a younger-looking patient, is trying to get fucked up or trying to sell Rx drugs on the street. WTF is going on in our shit-ass healthcare system?

edit: just a lil background. I have no medical history of substance abuse. I've never been difficult with nurses, doctors or otherwise to get meds. Just confused a bit, hoping my assumptions are wrong...
