im not quite sure where this stems from...but every time there is an event that i plan to roll at i feel this insecure wave wash over me. a week before i usually start feeling restless, agitated, and really grumpy. i cant sleep at night and my thoughts are usually along these lines, "what if i get sick? what if i take something bad? is this going to effect my life after this event in any way that would harm me?"

i know its not safe to think like that. i dont abuse. ive rolled twice in my life and the last time was last september. ive read up on everything mdma related but i cant help feel this terrible anxiety. any tips on how to get over it?

(and i know my fears are stupid because i get my stuff from someone who i very much trust and known for a long time, so my imaginary fear of taking a bad pill is invalid and only make me feel much dumber about myself)

I have GAD, and I sometimes have anxiety mood swings when I roll, and a few days after. I think it's natural though to feel a little nervous before, if you're not a frequent user.

MDMA depletes serotonin in your brain, makes you feel paranoid, feared. Im same person as you, i get this fear of random crap etc etc...Best way... if you trust in your pills- drink 1 -2 beers before roll, and it helps.( and dont forget to not to abuse MDMA ) GL

You just got to program yourself to not think that way. There really isn't a lot more we can tell you. A few beers will help with the initial comeup anxiety, but drinking daily for a week before you roll isn't really a viable solution IMO. :)

Natural feeling. Deal with it the same way one would deal with regular anxiety - try not to think about it and think about the positives instead. It takes a lot of effort but that's just how dealing with anxiety works.

Clearly the anxiety is stemming from your perception of the risks associated with MDMA. There are two very simple and easy ways to alleviate this anxiety:

1) Don't roll
2) If you decide to roll, rather than ignore the anxiety, simply eradicate the cause of your anxiety which stems from the negative aspects of MDMA. But if you test your stuff, take a low dose, hydrate, and load up on antioxidants, you have no reason for anxiety because you have taken all the necessary precautions to negate the detrimental effects of MDMA. Nothing bad is going to happen if you do all that stuff.

TOTALLY felt this way every time I've done MDMA.

Like everyone said before, all I did was realize that it was all in my head. I think rolling on MDMA is more psychological than people make it out to be. That says the same for the anxiety you're feeling when you're coming down. The worst thing you can do is punish yourself for feeling that way. It's just an emotion. Acknowledge it, smile, and go on your way.

its your brains way of pleading with you not to roll...your body knows how much stress MDMA will cause you so the pre-anxiety is your bodies last cry for you not to do it.

If you feel this anxiety, take a longer break. Chances are you have been rollin too often.

If you dont get pre-roll anxiety then your good to go. You aint gotta worry cause your body has had enuff time to recover.

Eh I'm not sure if that ^ applies to everyone. There are people who are just more prone to anxiety. We are all different and have had different experiences throughout life. I know people who generally have anxiety or worries when it comes to almost anything.
And the OP said they have only rolled twice in their life.
It's normal to have anxiety when you're going to use drugs. Some people will always get it, some people won't. It's a mind game, you got to tell yourself you are going to be okay and you're going to have a great time.

agreed with no consequence....

plenty of ppl get pre-roll anxiety before they've ever even rolled....all the negative connotations (some true and some false) that come with it make it a scary experience for someone new to it that has no idea what to expect and any sort of anxiety to begin with
