Anxiety attacks while on MDMA?

Just wondering if anyone that suffers from anxiety attacks has had one while on molly? Does it happen? Is Lorazepam safe to take in this state?

I'm asking because last year I started suffering from anxiety attacks. I don't really get them anymore unless I take stimulants like coke. Even then its not so bad as I can feel it coming and knock it down without any medication but I would have to call it quits for the night. I haven't found proper MDMA since I started having attacks until now. Just a little worried on what might happen. Unlike coke or other stimulants MDMA usually comes on strong. No way of backing out after you take it. Although I can't see someone having an attack in that state.

Anyway, any thoughts.
 
i've certainly not had any on mdma, but i have found an increased risk in the days following mdma. benzos are fine in any case.
 
Without professional guidance I don't recommend mdma to people with anxiety/depression issues. It can make them worse. Very important if you do it anyways to test your stuff and regulate how much you take.

Thanks, so .5-1mg of Lorazepam is safe?

I agree with you and thats why I haven't really tried or done any in a while. Now things are a lot better so I'm ready to give it a go. Just want to make sure because I just won't know what will happen until I give it a go. Just want to be prepared for worst case scenario.
 
If you give it a go, just don't make it a habit. Make sure you follow some pre/post loading to prepare your mind and repair your mind.

i'd expect that, just like with psychedelics, simply having benzos on hand will be enough reassurance so that you'll not need to take them :)
 
I use to have anxiety and depression. I was on SSRI's and benzos.
I know if I go to high on any ADHD medications I would have a shit ton of anxiety.
the closest thing I think I have ever gotten from MDMA was a racing heart.
I just sat down drank some water and talked myself through it.
5 minutes later I was a lot better I went out side for a smoke and to find some new people to talk to.
I didn't have problems anymore that night.
Benzos on my MDMA comedown were always a nice touch I thought.
 
wouldn't 1mg of lorazepam be a little to much and blunt the effects? I would try and take a lorazepam an hour or two before you drop so it's effects are almost over by the time you peak.

what? lorazepam has a half-life of around 12 hours. there's no way its effects will be almost over when you peak that way.

a much better option is taking it when needed. that way you can have a proper roll when everything is fine (which is very likely) and have tool on hand if things turn out unpleasant (in that case you'll rather not care much if it blunts the effects).

Yeah I was also thinking of just taking it if/when needed. I don't think I'll need it but its good to know that I'll be okay with the Lorazepam if anything happens.

hmm you may have been getting a different substance because usually mdma doesn't cause panic as it releases serotonin and that sort of prevents that from happening I guess :P But yes lorazepam is safe to take on it. Same with most Benzos.. And I'd recommend buying a test kit to test your stuff you get!
 
I do attest to getting anxious on the come up. Usually it's in the middle of a huge crowd and dance floor. I used 1-2 alcoholic beverages prior to me dropping to help with my last roll. I also used some mindfulness techniques to relax different parts of my body. It proved to work very well as my plan was trying a 140mg dose as opposed to my normal 120+60 redose. The come up was Intense, so was the show ;) , but I easily managed to control my blow up and reach my plateau of bliss in no time.
And no redose necessary!

Lorazepam may have a half-life of 12 hours but its actual effective life is shorter than alprazolam's unless its given through IV.

I've had panic attacks when coming up on MDMA and I always used clonazepam for them personally. It lasted all night and didn't really taint the high at all.
 
I did have one once on 150mg and thought I would die because my blood pressure was so high.
I have hypochondriac thoughts of fainting etc.

Just tell yourself it's only Mdma and you took it to enjoy it. It won't kill you.
