Antihistamines and euphoria?

I've never tried either of them, so it's just heresay for me as well. A note of caution: stay away from anticholinergic antihistamines if possible. Being delirious is not fun.

Then again erowid users call diphenhydramine euphorica :p

I've only had the chance to take orphenadrine once, but it was taken alongside oxycodone so I couldn't really tell if it's euphoric on it's own. I'd like to to give it a try by itself if given the option to take it again. Haha I definitely don't consider dph euphoric in any way whatsoever, I don't even consider it very sedating either. I remember reading something on BL about an antihistamine abused in clubs in the UK that when taken in higher doses releases dopamine in the brain (also causing hallucinations, delerium, and other unwanted side effects) , but the name has slipped my mind at the moment? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Nevermind, I was thinking of Benzydamine (obviously not an antihistamine). My bad!

depends on the defineition of euphoria. if it means a sence of well being than promethazine (Phenergan) is ok when u take it before u go to bed u'll feel really drowsy if uve never taken it before. take 30mg-90mg (the actuall reccomended dose) Im not sure why this stuff isnt prescription in aus. It's fairly strong for otc
it's actually a weak antipsychotic and helps with allegies.

I don't find hydroxyzine euphoric but it's definitely my favorite antihistamine. Doesn't leave with that that grogginess that benadry sometimes does.

I would stay away from antihistamines if you are looking for euphoria :\ they are only really useful IMO when trying to potentiate opiates.

Will leave this open for a bit longer but can't see it lasting very long.

Orphenadrine is the only one I've ever heard of that had euphoria listed as an effect (side-effect, actually). I've only had one experience with orphenadrine, and that was with a plethora of other drugs in my system in the Emergency Room. So I can't really tell you either way.

Ahhh! Don't abuse DPH!

Seconded. DPH will just fuck you up. You'll likely pass out before getting any "desired" effect, and if you do manage to stay awake, there's just a bunch of unsettling auditory hallucinations and maybe an occasional visual hallucination in store for you, along with just being incredibly delirious. It's a terrible drug to abuse.
