My girlfriend has strep and is currently taking antibiotics for it, I was just wondering if there were any known interactions with common antibiotics and ketamine. Hook it up with some info yo.

Well AFAIK no interactions, but this study on mice suggests that ketamine suppresses phagocytosis which is an immune system process that involves cleaning up (killed) pathogens.
I have no idea how significant this is, the study also says that there may be increased survival rate but that is probably in case of something more serious like septic shock and it is compared to other anaesthetics.
I very much doubt that it will cause severe complications, but even so taking ketamine will probably also not help her get better. Say it may postpone recovery from the infection, is that worth it?

Yeah that's what I thought. She's on the trail end of it anyways. Just thought I would check in to make sure. Safety first right.
