Anti-psychotics and LSD/Shrooms

I am currently taking the anti-psychotic Prolixon, 10mg orally, and 50mg injected bi-weekly.
Would it be safe to take LSD or trip on shrooms? I know it's unsafe to trip on atypical anti-psychotics but I was wondering about this specific anti-psychotic.

i think it would just stop you from tripping or at least lower the hallucinations quite a bit

I assume you mean Prolixin, which is a brand name of fluphenazine.

typical anti-psychotics like prolixin are a type of dopamine antagonists, psychedelics mainly work on serotonin (5-ht2a), so you should technically be able to trip, but there might be interactions. also, fwiw, ive read many more stories about lsd than shrooms causing seizures when mixed with psychiatry drugs, possibly because of lsd's binding profile. shrooms only bind to serotonin receptors, but lsd binds to serotonin, dopamine, and adrenergic receptors. i cant find any definitive info on this particular interaction, but in this case better play it safe. if you take anti-psychotics, then psychedelics may not be the right drugs to experiment with in the first place
