Im on 2mg of bupe and 250mg of tramadol spread over the day, lovely combo but may have overdid the bupe slightly, feel a bit nausous, (not been sick though!) im wondering if promthazine will help as its an anti emetic or DPH too, but im worried they will have a bad reaction with tramadol as they work mildly on serotonin like an SSRI.

thanks

Diphenhydramine's SSRI activity is very weak, and won't cause a problem with that combination, provided you don't take a crazy amount (stay below 75mg and you'll be fine). Promethazine works fine too, I think its a better anti emetic than diphenhydramine anyway, but is unavailable OTC where I live.

No worries man, adding an antihistamine will help out the opiates as well, go for it.

How do you feel the Tramadol since your on Suboxone. I think your experiencing the placebo effect.

nope, tramadol works on buprenorphine, one of the only ones that work fine, read the suboxone thread its known to be a lovely combo.

and thanks other post :)

Yeah its more the SNRI effect tramadol has (tramadols opiate effect is probably blocked by the bupe) which for some people works really well, kind of a mild speedy buzz, and for me with no opiate tolerance sub gets me high as hell, so they both synergise pretty well. But obviously different things work for different people.

Main question though is tramadol save with promethazine and by the sound ofs it, it is, so thanks guys.
