Your double slit
Anthems to the Shelter of Dusk*

Your bruises are
heavy with water
swollen by the punch of rain

You deflect sunlight but
it shines through-
waxy yellow.

You define etheral-
dawning day and
morning glory.

You whisper thunder.

You spit ice.

You cry replenishment.
Rebirth heralds your empy womb

You shout silence;
over and under~

You sustain decay
and impart rot to childe,
purged from Womb.

The sun is your
abortifacient though
your sperm as well.

What are you?
You have no name-
and many,

You enthrone god and bleed
into emptiness...

I call you "SKYE"
as I wave hello
to you and your friends.

- title lifted and fiddled with from Emperor's "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk"...

i love this. i love writing that is spare and concise. each word carries weight. there is no excess. great diction. so very beautiful.
