Hey everyone, sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot and I know there are many of these postings, as I have read through them before. But I figured i'd share with how I am doing.... I have been on pain meds for 5 years, and had 2 spinal surgeries. I started with the regular 5mg Hydrocodone, then to 10mg Hyrdocodone, then 7.5mg Percocet, then 10mg Percocet... at that point we added on 15mg MScontin to take with, after little result we switched to 20mg Oxycontin... as time went on I was switched to Opana 10mg and Opana 20mgXR... due to insurance I had to change to Oxycontin 40mg.... then a lot of things went wrong with insurance and the pain clinic in town closing. So I had to spend numerous amounts of time trying to find a doctor with the balls to take my case. During this time I was happening to borrow from my mom who gets 10mg Opana IR and 40mg Opana XR. I finally found a doctor too prescribe me Opana IR 10mg and then this shortage happened, so she put me on 10mg Opana ER which lasted 2 scripts until the town ran dry.... I kinda tapered down by getting some 30mg morphine, to 15mg morphine to 5mg Hyrdocodone in a period of 5 days.... I am now 30 hours without meds and I feel pretty decent... I have a lot of pain... The doctor put me on Zofran, and I have some Xanax, Ibuprofen 800 and Immodium and feel pretty great aside from the pain... I read so many horror stories on here I was scared too death... is this normal? or is something worse coming? Thanks everyone!
