Another SSRI question

My friend was literally just prescribed Lexapro 10mg (once a day) and has only taken it two days. Is it possible to take mdma and feel still 100% of it if he takes a two day break from his ssri's?
 
Even if its only been taken twice? Surely it can't hardly be built up in the system for only taking (2) 10mg pills. Its not like I've been taking it in the past and I'll be taking a 2-3 day break
 
SSRIs literally block the effect of MDMA so if you are on a programme of SSRIs (likely for depression or some kind of mental type issue) then consuming a street drug SRA (Serotonin Releasing Agent) is not the best of plans.

To answer your question directly will the MDMA work after two days of SSRI consumption 10mG Lexapro daily? Difficult to answer this. Will depend on many factors, metabolic rate, size and weight of user, individual reaction to SSRI etc etc. I suspect it will null the roll some what. To what extent its a guessing game.

Is it dangerous to combine the two? In my opinion due to the mechanisms involved - on the basis the SSRI blocks the MDMA molecule entering the synapse then NO. However, for the reasons mentioned I dont advise it.

It usually isn't dangerous as far as I know however as previously said SSRI's block out the effects of MDMA so even if it isn't dangerous it would be pointless.
You would get a slight dopamine rush but nothing great
 
hmm well i'm considering waiting until next friday. Since I only took 20mg and the half life of Lexapro is 32 hours, I calculated I would have only .1875mg in my bloodstream left at that point. With that being said, surely I would have a full experience - does anyone disagree?

You'll probably get a full experience, but I don't know exactly how such a short regime of SSRI ingestion would effect serotonin. I know that a lot of SSRI's take 2-3 weeks until benefits are actually reported, which would suggest that serotonin is barely altered until weeks of administration. This would suggest that a few days wouldn't alter the MDMA high at all.
