Another sleepless night.

So it's 5:41am now, and I've gone another night with zero sleep. My sleep is so, so messed up. I stay up all day, and all night, and catch a shut eye in the shower for maybe 5 minutes at a time, and I'm completly sober, so its nothing like I'm under the influence on anything.
I take it my anxiety is coming in stronger, and it's pushing my insomia out more and more, after a while the brain cant function and starts to trick it's self into sleep, and I'm at the point where I'm hearing knocks and bangs.
I know they are real, well atleast they sound real, but for now I feel safe locked away here in my room.
I'm not sure what is all in store for me tommorow, I have no idea. There are so many things that can happen that will set me back in everything.
Such as jail, I don't want to go but It may be the only way out in this case.
I'm confused, oh so verry confused what to do. I have some ideas in what I want to do, but I will save that for my next blog.
I just hope something happens quick before anything else bad happens.

I'm sorry to hear your going through a rough time. As an insomniac, I definitely know how frustrating sleepless nights can get! I hope things work out for you. :)

sorry to hear about your lack of sleep and possible jail time, hopefully that won't happen.

have you tried anything to help with the insomnia/anxiety? i don't know your situation but if you have a family doctor, he might be able to help by prescribing something such as Ambien or Trazodone, etc. If you have a psychiatrist, that would be an even better person to talk to. If you don't have either, or can't afford to visit the doctor, (and don't have health insurance, which is where I'm at) you might try some OTC sleep aids? Some people use Tylenol PM and the like but those don't work for me at all. The active ingredient of most of those pills, as you may already know, is a drug called diphenhydramine, which makes me agitated and restless but apparently works for some, otherwise I don't think they would sell it or have so many different brands that are all essentially the same drug. There are also various herbal options which you would have to research on your own as I'm not too knowledgeable in this area. The best place I know to research that would be erowid.org. I read several accounts on there of people using a combination of melatonin, valerian root, and vitamin B-6 for help with sleeplessness and having great success. I ended up trying this combination myself when I was going through a period of insomnia and it worked like a miracle. It's a little pricey buying all three bottles (probably something like $25) but you should end up with enough pills for around a month or so. If none of that works, you can always try to get your hands on some benzos...

Good luck.
