IF done well.

Very true. Considering the odd nature of the book, Fight Club could have EASILY been badly botched during the transition to the screen. However, it was a great adaptation of a great book. Hopefully these will also be treated well.

Perhaps a merge is in order :\

I will only stop to say I loved the film of Fight Club (having gone in without expectations and not reading the book), but absolutely abhorred reading Choke. I can appreciate the writing, but the character was such a lame being, I really don't think I can bear watching it on film.

thanks memberator.

i, too, never read any of these books before watching fight club (which i love). but having since read fight club and lullaby, i wasn't very into this guy's style at all. too angsty.

Personally Lullaby is most favorite Palahniuk book. I thought Survivor was amusing and I disliked Choke. Lullaby was thoroughly enjoyable, though.
Probably get these at the redbox. not real exited.

the reviews of rant were so awful it's the only one of his books i haven't bought. I didn't like too much of haunted either, or Stranger than Fiction.. so i didn't know how much i'd like this.

^I actually enjoyed Rant. It's different from a lot of his other work, but I still thought it was enjoyable. That's just me though. :\

Rant was confusing at first... but I dunno I got into the whole swing of the book after I read it a second time on a ride home one day.

On a second thought I'm not sure if it would make terribly good film, but it was a good read for a bit.

my favorite books of his are lullaby and diary. i'd prefer to see lullaby on the big screen, but really any of palahniuks movies being made and released would be cool. and, i'm sure, better than most of what is out there.

a short featurette on the filming of choke including a very brief bit from the film can be seen here

Diary would be the best into a film, it would be somewhat like The Wicker Man or maybe even Children of the Corn.

Lullaby was my favorite book, and Choke was one of my least liked.

Invisible Monsters could also translate well into a movie.

I finished survivor the other day I like it for the most part although it started pretty slow. I dont think he will ever top fight club even though I loved haunted its just not movie material
