another loperamide testimony

my friend and i have been using loperamide for quite some time now and i just thought i'd share my experience and observations with it.

the first time i used i took 96mg of loperamide one hour after taking a tagamet (for potentiation). i noticed a very slight buzz, but of course no nodding and little if no euphoria.

lately ive been taking 136mg-175mg of the loperamide with tagamet and i can tell you it is definitely giving me effects that are consistent with other opioids. (nodding, euphoria, itchy nose, that empty stomach feeling, etc.) sometimes the effects can last upwards of 36-48 hours. the only negative thing ive noticed is that there is some sort of side effect that i occasionally get that makes me twitch and kind of feel tweaked out every now and then, which can lead to trouble sleeping sometimes. also, contrary to popular belief, the constipation generally lasts 36 hours at most after the high sets in.

today i took 175mg with the usual tagamet supplementation and added on 2mg of alprazolam to see if the tweaking side-effect would be eliminated...and it definitely did. it feels a lot like oral morphine to me when this combination is administered. it lasts all day, and i have noticed no unpleasant side effects that don't come with other prescription opioids.

one question i have is this: i believe quinidine would potentiate the effects even more, but the only thing i can readily obtain is tonic water, which contains the stereoisomer of quinidine, quinine. is there any way to obtain or get quinidine in your system with products readily available? does quinine have the same enzyme inhibition properties as quinidine?

PS...my friend has had the same consistent results that i have had. i have been constantly criticized that OTC medications cant get you an opioid high, but i guarantee you this is no joke. I have a moderate tolerance to opioids and it takes me about 60-90mg morphine to nod, ~40mg oxy to nod, and 4mg buprenorphine to nod.

I don't really have any experience with this, but I do have a question...

How do you poop when taking that much loperamide? It seems like it would turn your intestines into concrete at those dosages...

you don't poop for about 36 hours but after that you can go, it might be a bit hard though but usually its straight.

another thing about taking high doses of loperamide is that it takes 3-4 hours for the full effects to kick in

hmm, well it IS in all actuality an opiate, it just doesn't cross the bbb, but these doses are in the 2 mg range for theraputic applications, I bet if it fully crossed the blood brain barrier that these huge doses people are taking to receive canceled withdrawals would probably kill them, after all its anti diarreah action is due to its opiate effects you can get the same diarreah relief taking codiene or morphine, quick question though if it doesn't cross the bbb why does it even have actions as classic opiates do on the intestines and colon?

Seems like a waste of money to me. They do seem to add a little to a codeine/DHC buzz if you take 6-8mg. Think they block the intestinal opioid receptors so more ends up in the CNS receptors.

175mg ??? Do you have a hook-up for bulk powder or something? If buying 85x 2mg tablets then your spending WAY too much to achieve that sort of high, even if buying the generic Imodium. There are usually like 18 caplets per box. It would be cheaper to buy any other opiate that does cross the BBB for Christ Sake.

not true at all K'd OUT. you can pay 16$ for 96 tablets of 2mg store brand loperamide. this makes me nod for 36 hours. id pay 20$ for two OC 15ers and that would only last for 3-4 hours, to make me nod like a mawfugga id need at least 45mg OC anyway...

i cannot comment on why it manages to cross the BBB as i don't have much expertise on pharmacology/pharmacokinetics. all i know is it works so don't bash it and flag the idea as retarded unless youve tried it.

yea and i agree dropping 75 tablets isnt exactly pleasant but 4 hours later youll know its worth it.

its 7 months old but i'll just throw it out there. costco 400 2mg caplets for 6 bucks. i'm with the op. after a heavy oxy habit upwards of 150-200mg per day, 60 mg let me sleep so that's the most important aspect of running out.w/d not sure if i'm gonna take a break again.

Hmmm...interesting. I don't personally have experience with high dose loperamide, but it makes more sense to go with kratom, pods or another "legal" opiate if that's what you're looking for.

The box does warn of possible drowsiness/dizziness, so there must be SOME mind-altering potential there...

I did a cold water extraction with 8 mg of lope. Put the tiny bit of filtered lope with sterile water in a dropper (maybe 10-15 drops worth) and snorted it. The buzz was very pleasant and opioid-like. Strangely it is hard to describe the feeling. The buzz was speedy, but not as much as hydrocodone. It was (for me) like a speedy type of codeine buzz.
