Recovery Another detox attempt.... U-47700 and Tianeptine.

Just make sure you have a non-drug plan in place to help yourself come off kratom.

Exercise really helps me. Activities and hobbies like camping, hiking, walking, or video games, reading, etc. can really help.

I do have one, it's going to be Kratom to maybe a taper OR if I can get a 72 hour low-dose patch then move to a small benzo then to OTC.
I was thinking about maybe getting a small amount of a dissociative to take for a day or 2. I did that in the paste and it dropped my tolerance so low that I didn't even have any withdrawals.

I'm just trying to find the best plan for me.
If Kratom doesn't get banned then I will feel so much better and not rush into getting off of it.

To be honest dissociative drugs don't help me

I remember every time I tried them while in opiate withdrawal I just felt so awful, like I was already dead. Then again I never felt a true propensity toward them.

It's your life buddy, but I would suggest cannabis above anything else. I know it's probably not kosher in most "sober circles" but I think it's such a great alternative to other stuff.

I would smoke but I'm on probation and get drug tested often, so I can't!
I'm just trying to figure out what would be the easiest coming off Kratom.
Cheers!

NDMAr antagonist dissosiative drugs, especially DXM and MXE (ketamine would be awesome but it doesn't last long enough in my system for it to be nearly as practical as, say, DXM, and would require multiple redosing throughout the day), have worked wonders for me when deal with acute opioid withdrawal. In fact, they probably have more utility when it comes to detoxing than methadone, buprenorphine or gabaergic drus like gabapentin, pregabalin, benzos and baclofen.

Everybody is different, and most people do not seem to respond all that well to dissosiatives, although I believe this is becaue they are not introduced to them probably and their first impression is simple very negative. But to each ones own, these drugs are just one more tool in the tool box.

What is probably most important, as CH pointed out, is a non-substance related plan, like eating right, exercise, social support, auxilary treatment, professional treament, and so on and so forth. Because that is where sustainable recovery is at, not in some substance (although stuff like SSRIs and other drugs can be very benefitial necessary tools for people with co-occuring disorders and such, I am just saying ultimately it us your social capital that will make your recovery a successful and meaningful one, not a drug).

If it did that to me I'd probably quit.

Some times I wish I could quit cannabinoids. *shrugs* I'm not really sure if I should or not.

How are those by the way?
I'm getting a gram of some cannabinoid and I've never really messed with it (besides spice). It's powder form, is it similar to the effects of K2 Spice or different?

I agree with you both on living a healthy life style, and for the disso's I always found them very helpful.
What I did would do my dose of opiate, I would take it before my withdrawals started, it made me have very min. withdrawal symptoms.

That and some gabapentin or pregabalin. Seriously, pregabalin and clonidine (and I also have gabapentin, propanolol and trazadone in my current arsenal) is really all I need to easily and comfortably detox from methadone. Seriously you should get some gabapentin (300mg) and clonidine (0.1mg) from your doctor. They are regularly and easily prescribed for acute opioid withdrawal, any good doctor would be happy to give them to you considering you are in need.

Thanks again everyone. I know the ER would give me some comfort meds. I decided that I will start my Kratom taper on Friday. It should not be too hard since it's Kratom. I heard people getting brain zaps and severe RLS. I really don't want to quit Kratom because it's keeping be off harder drugs but I really want to be off all substances. Much love to you all! <3

Don't let tour thinking mind psych you out. If you stay positive and power through this, it really can be mind over matter. I am living proof.

Not to dick size, but if I can power through methadone withdrawal with this positive energetic attitude I have, you can certainly take the reigns over your own detox. Of course no two people, drugs, tapers or kicks are alike, but you know what I am saying. Keep up the great work brother!

I've tried RC cannabinoids in the past 2010 - 2011 to help mitigate benzo withdrawal. I discovered them a few months before they got banned. The JHW series was decent in my opinion, but the replacement formulations became way too speedy for my preference. I don't know how they are now, but the range of effects is large so I would recommend reading up on user experiences before making a purchase. I know I got a hold of one that seemed to feel like meth - needless to say that was not what I was wanting so it went in the toilet. Also, stopping some RC cannabinoids is not like quitting pot - some have very real withdrawals. Be careful and die your research.

Along those lines, if you get off kratom have you considered kanna?

What's Kanna? Also what kind of withdrawals do noids produce? I was thinking of trying kava extract too. I hear it works wonders!

Kanna is another ethnotanical, not worth the money IMO, but you can always try. Kava extract would be money better spend if you are looking for a relaxation aid. I think Kanna works better as an adjunct to suppliment other drugs, like taking some with a nice fat L to feel a tiny tiny bit of that rolling feelinh.

I've found kanna helps with anxiety and lifts mood - it's not as strong as kratom, but acts like a mild stimulant like coffee.

Withdrawal from noids varies, I would recommend searching through the forums for "spice" or synthetic cannabis. Withdrawals range from meth like to benzo like in some respects, though they don't seem to last very long in duration. There are sooo many cannabinoids that it's difficult to come up with a consistent list as it depends on the chemical. Personally, I didn't experience anything too difficult but I was in the thick of benzo PAWS, so I really don't think that could have gotten any worse lol.
