So many of us know that the war on drugs is a load of nonsense, but does anyone think there should be more information spread about deaths from legal drugs vs. deaths from illegal drugs every year? The statistics are pretty alarming to people who are staunch supports of the war on drugs.

(What got me going on this was seeing this website: Drugs Kill. Campaign -- drugskillcampaign.com

They put a huge emphasis on hating on ILLEGAL drugs when legal drugs kill a stupid amount of people...)

So are people just THAT uninformed or what?? It doesn't take a rocket scientists to know that tobacco alone kills over 400,000 people in the US a year..

Rather than supporting the use of drugs, why don't we support the spread of true information through a logical, lucid context. In other words. Rather than telling everyone to try cocaine. Or MDMA. How about displaying the positive effects.

However I would rather someone not do drugs at all if they do not understand the risk they take. Having poorly synthesized street drugs can result in long-term damage to internal organs and the brain. If everyone knew the information that the average blue lighter knows, then we would have fewer deaths and the recreational legalization of many analogues would be under-way.

Alcohol & tobacco combined kill way more than all illegal drugs combined every year. We could also throw in legal meds like tylenol & other legal meds that kill people.

How about we legalize everything and 20 years later we take a real census :)

I can almost promise you alcohol and tobacco would move themselves to the middle, if not, bottom of the list.

I'm not so sure about that, especially the cigarettes. I'd imagine many people may seek solace in drugs other than alcohol because they're more pleasant & they would be less stigmatisation.

What's your reason for such a bold claim

Also factually untrue in every regard. Even stupid people find no problem getting drugs. When portugal decriminalized all drugs, drug use increased 4.2%. And that is lifetime use, aka more people admitting their drug usage. So not even that many more people actually used drugs.
