Annoying junkie "friends"

Got one for a dollar once. I started negotiations saying I was sure I had 3 or 4 dollars on me knowing full well I was lucky if I had a dollar on change. Obviously there was no money for a condom so I passed on the sex and went for the bj.

Now I have a new annoying "friend"
He's new to the game; still doing opana's hasn't made the "economical" switch to H yet.

Only time he EVER texts or calls me is when he needs a ride or a fuckin sub! And then the other day he got all pissy cuz I didn't answer him back!

WHY would I even bother answering u when I know you're just trying to use me?! How fucking delusional can he be?! He did kind of hook me up twice but still, that's not the point!

I HATE hitting people up for favors cuz I'm too prideful. But I make sure I actually talk to and hang out with ALL of my buddies(users or not) so if I need a favor from one of them I don't look like the annoying sack of shit this thread is about!
 
Honestly it's my interpersonal relationships and the status of said relationships that's my biggest motivator for quitting drugs. Not my finances, health, marriage etc...no, just the fact that I can't stand almost anyone I have to associate with in the "drug scene". No one can "handle their shit" and they all act like a gossipy sewing circle, albeit a really fucked up one (and one with a different use for the needles, trololol). With everything it's just about "hey man, you got any shit? you wanna get shit? C'MON MAN I WANT TO GET HIGH"

It's like, fuck, don't you guys do anything else other than get high? You wanna go for a walk or something? Go down to the gun range and shoot some rounds? Work out? Have a drink at the bar? Nope. Just get high, all day every day. Fuck that.

Wait, wouldn't that make you even worse? You hang out with them just so that when you need a favour, they are more likely to do it and not be as bitter about it. That's social engineering... Although, I guess you are working for it.

I know you probably didn't mean it like that, just the way you wrote it looks really bad.
 
Jesus christ yes... always calls for Subs, feel like she expects it for free, cuz I did it ONE TIME, so now I feel like I have to otherwise I get the call "im so sick, blah blah blah yr the only one who cares(she's older, around 60)...many a times i just put down the phone and when I hear the voice stop say okay. We had it to where we had a trade goin on(i'd get benzos if I gave her a the strips..that went away, now I pay for the benzos. This last time I said I would trade for the benzo's or whatever, said she needed the money for the light bill turns around right after that and buys godamn pills right in front of me with it. What really pissed me off was that she called me for 25 bucks to go to the doctor(my friend her daughter) when I know for a fact my friend had the money, then I get a call from her roomate(also my friend,never ask me for anything)asking me to find some pot, so obviouslly they have the goddamn money but seem to rely on me..I mean shes nice but damn, and i mean DAMN!!! I have tried to ignore but it's impossible i'll get 10 calls in a day, txt from her son, for days. Plus my actual friends live with her so I really can't avoid this woman. I mean, she's nice and everything, but is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS asking for something. It acutually ruined my day the other day when she called, I talked to her the first time and somehow she got the hint I didn't wanna loan any money, was gettin ready for work...sure enough on my way to work "you got 30 dollars I can borrow??" really just irritated me. She's nice, and I consider her a friend to a degree but godamn....she's not even strung out anymore she just gets percocrets...and I'm not the only one who has noticed all the askin for shit constantly, other people I trade with/buy from say the exact damn thing... I think she owes me like 90 bucks right now. Nice woman(really but this shit with always askin for shit irritates the FUCK outta me) I just had to vent.

Thankfully, I don't have anyone bothering me for money or favours, but I have had a couple of close friends that got on meth and just became anti-social, off-putting pieces of shit. They'd sit there at a social gathering with faces like smacked arses, just throwing out short rude answers to anyone foolish enough to make any effort with them, clearly not wanting to be there. Total fucking downers. Meth heads don't often make for the best of company I've found.

I'm no longer friends with them. Life's too short to spend it with people that have nothing worthwhile to bring to the table.

Damn dude i dont care how "nice" she is. Seems like she is just good and acting nice but in reality she is just your average cunt. Stand up for yourself man. Tell her she is cut off until she pays you what she owes. If she values you what so ever she will start paying you back and stop using you. If she doesnt then it will be obvious and you can drop that burden of a leech from your life and stop wasting time and money on her.

It honestly sounds to me like she is not going to pay you back when you ask. She will probably start with "oh dont worry im working on paying you back! Here! Here is my last 5$ and ill work on getting you the rest, but can i please have a piece for now? I really need it blah blah blah blah blah" At which point you take the 5$ and dont give her shit and say you wont give her a single piece until she pays you back everything she owes.

There is no reason to keep letting her leech your precious time and money. Even if she asks for money for the Dr or some bills or anything just tell her no because last time you WATCHED her but drugs with it when she said it was for somethjng else. Dont keep doing this to yourself, it is degrading to let someone walk all over you like that. Stand up for yourself, you will see how she really thinks about you and how much she truely values you when you straight cut her off until she pays up. She will probably curse your name and talk shit about you and everything else, all the while NOT paying you back. Who wants to be friends with someone like that?

Now i may be completely wrong and she might actually work on oaying you back and everything else and not curse your name and not be a piece of shit towards you. However from what you said about her and my own experiences i personally doubt that to be the case. The only way to know for sure is to hust try it. I wish you the best of luck man, try it out and let us know what happens!
 
I have been this person at times. Really hard up and feeling sorry for myself, on a borrowing streak. I have consciously made an effort to stop doing this but then I ended up getting used really badly, but even in that I was still in a codependant relationship but the roles were reversed. I am definitely not an alpha male and people sense that and use it to their advantage. I have paid back the vast majority of people I had fronted a lot from in the past except one person and I plan to get that settled soon. It's all a part of making huge changes in my life and making amends, putting the past behind me and being a good natured and honest human being. The worst part of it is being honest and constantly being accused of lying. It's really disheartening but I will manage and I will be successful.

Addiction puts people in a very selfish and desperate place and I can definitely empathize with that but I myself have been used and stolen from and screwed over really hard the past 4 years. It's a humbling experience and I wont let it get me bitter, I will use those experiences as more ammo. I will use them as examples of who I never want to become and knowing I never want to lose my humanity and embrace positivity and helping people once I am done making changes within myself.
 
Man i know to many people like the people you are all describing! What i did was just get these fucking people out of my life or let them know what the fuck was going to happen from that point on. The best thing to do is to tell the person that you aren't going to let them borrow any money, drugs, or items anymore because its hard enough to provide for yourself and you are only enabling them to be lazy fucking beggars who are just going to rack up debt with you and everyone else the come across without even a thought of paying you back(trust me they only want what you can do for them). SAYING NO CAN GO A LONG FUCKING WAY!!! they will try to guilt you into it and make you feel bad to get what they wan't all you can do is say im really sorry but i just can't help you i hope you will be ok(this is when you will see who they truly are! if they say ok well i appreciate it then they probably mean it but if they just hang up or change attitudes really quick then tell them to fuck off!!!!!!!)
