Has anyone tripped while in the house with their pet? My last LSD experience, I was in a house with a kitten, she acted rather "insane" as cats normally do (some say cats are schizophrenic) but she did this wayyyyy more than usual. In fact every moment she was seeing things, fucking with shit, etc. I went home at the end of the day to my own cat; fat, lazy, the usual calm type of cat. He never has once in the time I've owned him acted schizophrenic in any sort of way like I sometimes see with cats. This time though he did, I'd turn a corner and see him in an aggressive position, as if he were seeing something he was about to chase. He would run away from nothing, swat at the air in front of him, etc. He NEVER has ever done this before. So my question to you is, have your pets ever acted very strange while you're tripping? To me, dogs seem to be able to tell when a human is tripping, if a dog sees me it will take particular interest in me. Same with small children, they seem to just "know" if you're tripping.

I think many animals are very sensitive to subtle differences in ones behaviour and appearance, perhaps far more than humans. It's difficult to explain your cat's behaviour, although it seems obvious that it noticed something was different about you. Huge pupils perhaps? Unusual movement?

I remember a trip on 4-ho-met while my friend brought his dog over, I was lying on the sofa as the dog approched and stopped next to me. It looked at me deeply, as though it just knew I was way out there. And as you'd expect, I felt an overwhelming connection to this majestic animal as I stared back. However, it seems more likely that the dog had no idea and was just begging for food... :)

Yep. The cat I live with (not mine) demonstrated the same kind of behavior--seeing and responding to things that weren't there--when I took mushrooms. Cats are extremely sensitive, dare I say psychic? At the very least, they are extra susceptible to the contact-high.

Every animal I've done drugs around seems to be somehow affected. I'm assuming it's the altered energy you're giving off. Cats are especially sensitive.

My friend accidentally dropped liquid acid on the floor and his cat ate it. That cat was never the same again. I think they get a bit of a proxy high from being near drug users but it's really bad if they actually ingest anything!

getting back to my house this weekend after trying 60mg 2c-c + 75mg MXE at a friend's house, the cats that recently started staying at my house to deal with our mice problem were wayyyy more friendly than they were when I left. Before the weekend they were pretty much scared of me and when I came back with a nice afterglow they were circling around my legs and purring and stuff it was cool lol

Tripping at home in the company of my cat is absolutely wonderful. He is a great trip-sitter... knows when I am having my downs and is a great friend to sit there and stroke... all day :D

The best thing though, is seeing him as a tiger, or a leopard >: D

My cats are always looking blindly into space whether im high or not, and i have 3 cats. Maybe since you guys are tripping you notice it more, but i deffently believe cats can see spirits so the hole engery thought I could easily believe.

All I can think about with my cat or any animal in general when I'm tripping is "Talk damn you! I know you can do it!".

We've had several extremely profound experiences with our cat. It seems that psychedelics make the process of unspoken communication more effective.

My dog is hilarious, even more so when I'm tripping, obviously :)
He just sits there staring at me with his big smart eyes, as if we were having an actual conversation, for hours on end lol

Me and my main old trip partner were once at a city park on acid and the usually predictable squirrels were frantically running in a pack of seven or eight in an unusual manner. They would run to one tree race up fifteen feet or so, dart back down and then repeat on the next tree. In like ten seconds this erratic pack of squirrels had scurried up and down each tree (like five or six ha) near us and was running off in the same formation– something like a comic depicted dust cloud. We laughed and were rather startled, a couple walked by with a dog and was watching the squirrel pack with a confused or slightly disturbed look on their faces, kind of like a wtf look lol.

Of course the fact that we were tripping hard is a factor in our awe lol. But none the less, this was squirrel frenzy beyond the likes of squirrel normalcy. :-P

oh and on a strong mescaline cactus exp me and the same dude walked by a dog kennel daycare place which had a back outside area with like ten foot concrete walls with a fence atop. We were walking by on some railroad tracks and decided to walk up to the fence (the fence is ground level with the tracks, the door and building is below, kinda hard to describe). Looking down we see a dog runs out and barks or jumps up or something, and like two seconds later this little doorway becomes a river of dogs pouring into the back walled area. Within fifteen seconds or so there's twenty plus dogs all jumping up excitedly and barking playfully at us. The employees jump out of the doorway and are obviously overwhelmed and trying to quickly re corral the dogs up. We were fucking cracking up at the scene :-) it took them a minute or two to stop the canine revolt our presence seemed to ignite lol
