Animal Toxins

I thought this may be an interesting topic.
Similar to how people cultivate plants (e.g. weed) in order to smoke for a recreational high, do people keep pets as well that may have toxins that are of recreational value?
ie. spiders, snakes, fish, etc.
 
Yeah I watched this farcical movie yesterday that had this giant toad that supposedly spat a hallucinogenic fluid onto its attacker. That's probably what generated this interest in animal toxins, hehehe.
 
Aren't they going extinct for this very reason? People should use labatory-produced DMT (controlled, sched I) and 5-meo-DMT (not controlled...) instead of milking these toads for their natural defense system.
