Hello everyone and others,

um... well... eep! I seem to have stopped lurking -- (hides under table, looking scared)

Okay so you are probably all thinking: "OH NOES! this misguided new ignorant poster wrote like a whole freaking book, and didn't even make it through four lines without out using SWIM!11!thirteen!!11!"

Well, errrrm... oops :O

Okay, so this is a bit long... maybe I'll throw in a joke :)

I guess I came to Bluelight because like many people here, I enjoy doing drugs discussing the theoretical effects of psychoactive chemicals administered by the pet hamster of a friend of someone who I didn't know wasn't me to a collection of aquatic petrified lizards, after obtaining the necessary permits from several different government agencies, under the careful supervision of a team of carefully trained scientists with clean criminal records, except for Carl who had his driver’s license suspended for killing several pedestrians in a stolen tractor. Also, I once had a pet cactus that would only eat strawberries, but then it fell off of a blimp and... OMG I've been awake for how long? They are trying to steal my car again again! Those bastards! Why won't they go away? and didn't I just pick up my Adderall prescription a few days ago? why is it gone? GO AWAY! NO! NOT THE BANNANNANNANNAS! WHY? AHQ#W#!

[editor's note: some text was removed at this point (for harm reduction purposes), which mostly consisted of an epic battle between the letters 'Q' and '#'(which isn't really a letter), and there was a lot of blood and chaos and despair, and some axes and spoons being hurled about...]

For a substantial portion of my life, I didn’t use drugs (legal or otherwise) at all really. Then at some point I had some medical type problems, and was given a great many interesting and powerful chemicals that were supposed to do various things. After that I was kinda like: “Wow, what was that? That was interesting…

I guess that whole experience is what led me to begin studying altered states of consciousness. It started out innocently enough... as these things usually do. I had been occasionally dabbling into chemistry before that... only out of curiosity. Of course it wasn't long before I was spending hours reading wikipedia articles about chemistry, opiates, abnormal psychology, and even deliriants! Really anything I could find...

Then I found Erowid. That was the tipping point. I was soon reading trip reports about strange "research chemicals" and reading FAQ's and effects profiles for drugs I'd never even heard of before. I went on several PIHKAL/TIHKAL binges... always staying up later than I should, just to read one more chapter...one more page...

My first 'breakthrough' Bluelight experience was a bit like a flashback to a simpler time... so many fond memories from high school came rushing back... I was a gamer back then, and had friends... I built my own computer. The case had a window in it, and a light that was blue. synchronicity? Wow.

I guess I finally decided to join Bluelight because I so strongly agree with its mission, because I want to provide whatever benefit I may from my knowledge and experience, and most of all with the hope of getting to know some other people who are just as fascinated as me to explore the nearly infinite universe commonly known as the mind.

Okay, now you can carry on with your lives, or whatever...

tl;dr?

Hi! :)

lol. Never tried it. That's just how I am... naturally?

anyway, a few standard intro things I neglected to include.

I am currently living in the pacific northwest of the USA.

My first DOC was opiates, however I also enjoy stimulants (obviously), and sedative type drugs. However, I have recently become far more interested in dissociatives and psychedelics.

and I tend to browse the PD, ADD, TDS and NMI forums most frequently.

Great intro mate, Welcome to Bluelight! :)

If you need a hand with anything, just hit one of us back and we'll be happy to help you out.
