I have ADHD, diagnosed late in life... I am an old fart. I also have a long history of abusing any and all things from my highschool days till my 36th birthday. I had 20 years clean and sober, until 2 years ago, but started abusing again with oxy's after 2 surgeries. I have been off of oxy for one year now.
Now to the point: I just got back from my Doctor's office and the pharmacy. I have a 3 month script for Dexedrine 10's, a 540 count. The bottle is winking at me... If I take them home to my wife and tell her I got them, she will lock them up and dole them out to me as scripted (she is a saint, with an electronic safe that stores her pain management med's).
If I don't tell her, I can try to "man-up" and do this myself as directed, but with a bit more freedom... that is, skip 2 days during the week, double up and Saturday and Sunday, but keep the weekly dosage as directed. The wife won't tolerate that if she knows...
Or I could not tell her, revert to old habits, and start gobling them by the handfull.... which is a distinct possibility. I know what I should do, but BL light input is always valuable. If this belongs in another forum, please move as appropriate. Thanks!
