The vagabond who's rapping at your door, standing
We have a thread about brand new chemicals. Anyone interested in the kind of stuff Ray Mears and Bear Grylls drink, like pine needle tea ? Every time they drink that they go "this cup packs in more vitmain c than 7 oranges" or something like that.

Ive just had some valerian root bark tea. As long as i dont start barking like a mad dog myself, it a least tasted pleasant. Ray would have liked it. Its meant to be a very good relaxant, very good for helping with WDs and insomnia.

This human guinea pig is feeling quite light headed, but thats about it.

Bear Grylls is a Ray on meth

Look at this lovely drawing of Ray.

My jizz has ehanced the lives of everybody it ever touched.

Usually some time long after the event, though I swear it's not just coincidence or sheer bollocks.

That valerian is working. Feeling really quite nice and drowsy. Although i did have rather a lot of AH7921 last night. Everything seems to be turning shit at the centre i go to. Im not sure what ive done wrong, but surely they should expect people with drugs problems to have problems. Maybe my problems arent the right sort. I asked one of the staff there whose office door was open, and she wasnt doing anything that moment if i could borrow a pen "theres a shop over there" she goes. Ive no idea is that was meant to be banter or shes just a witch, or im the evil one thats splitting the place apart.....:sus:

I imagine any complaints would be met with "if you doont like it here you know what you can do......" Fuck knows. Will get it sorted one way or another next week.

Fuck SHM Ray Mears. Doublefuck that Grilled Bear cunt. The only survivalist truly worth a wank...

As for 'erbal stuffs, I used to be quite into all that but can't think of much off the top of me head. HBWR seeds were about the most enjoyable though. Aside from ayawaska maybe but never tried that.

Valerian root tastes like rancid arseholes. I can't even conceive of making that shite into a tea 8(

I tried a few "extraordinary potions of enchantment" years ago but couldn't get any of them to work.

Thanks jc, I did find that page, I just thought it strange that there wasn't one for the book, and the page on Culpeper doesn't say if he actually tried out these herbs. I wanted to know if there was any science at all behind it, rather than just the association with Galen's stuff.

id been smoking Damiana with or without 'noids until now. But I've just read about making a tea from the leaves so I'm having a go at that myself now; just made a brew now so I'll see in a bit if it does anything noticeable (like give me an 8 hour boner) or any other effects from 1 cup of strong Damiana tea.

It tastes along the same lines as Kratom but only about 1/10 as strong puke inducer.

Sam you didnt need to apologise or worry about derailing the thread. I am interested in that bit about shearing bollocks though. Maybe that's got something to do with this miraculous semen of yours. When you're with a partner do you just drop this line into the conversation shortly before the horse is about to bolt the stable door ? ;)

I'm drinking Fentiman's Ginger Beer and I've just noticed it contains Juniper, Yarrow and Speedwell.

Culpeper doesn't say anything about Juniper but he mentions the others:

Culpeper on Juniper said:
Government and virtues : This admirable solar shrub is scarce to be paralleled for its virtues. The berries are hot in the third degree, and dry but in the first, being a most admirable counter-poison, and as great a resister of the pestilence, as any growing: they are excellent good against the biting of venomous beasts, they provoke urine exceedingly, and therefore are very available to dysuries and stranguaries. It is so powerful a remedy against the dropsy, that the very lye made of the ashes of the herb being drank, cures the disease. It provokes the terms, helps the fits of the mother, strengthens the stomach exceedingly, and expels the wind. Indeed there is scarce a better remedy for wind in any part of the body, or the cholic, than the chymical oil drawn from the berries; such country people as know not how to draw the chymical oil, may content themselves by eating ten or a dozen of the ripe berries every morning fasting. They are admirably good for a cough, shortness of breath, and consumption, pains in the belly, ruptures, cramps, and convulsions. They give safe and speedy delivery to women with child, they strengthen the brain exceedingly, help the memory, and fortify the sight by strengthening the optic nerves; are excellently good in all sorts of agues; help the gout and sciatica, and strengthen the limbs of the body. The ashes of the wood is a speedy remedy to such as have the scurvy, to rub their gums with. The berries stay all fluxes, help the hæmorrhoids or piles, and kill worms in children. A lye made of the ashes of the wood, and the body bathed with it, cures the itch, scabs and leprosy. The berries break the stone, procure appetite when it is lost, and are excellently good for all palsies, and falling-sickness.

Culpeper on Yarrow said:
Government and virtues : It is under the influence of Venus. An ointment of them cures wounds, and is most fit for such as have inflammations, it being an herb of Dame Venus; it stops the terms in women, being boiled in white wine, and the decoction drank; as also the bloody flux; the ointment of it is not only good for green wounds, but also for ulcers and fistulas, especially such as abound with moisture. It stays the shedding of hair, the head being bathed with the decoction of it; inwardly taken it helps the retentive faculty of the stomach: it helps the gonorrhea in men, and the whites in women, and helps such as cannot hold their water; and the leaves chewed in the mouth eases the tooth-ache, and these virtues being put together, shew the herb to be drying and binding. Achilles is supposed to be the first that left the virtues of this herb to posterity, having learned them of this master Chiron, the Centaur; and certainly a very profitable herb it is in cramps, and therefore called Militaris.

My leprosy and gonorrhea are clearing up already!

Bear is a pussy, whenever he stops shooting or killing helpless animals for the cameria he and his cronies go back to their heated/ac trailer.

Check out Robert A. Bartlett , he is the real deal when it comes to potions.

Oh man I could read that Culpeper stuff all day, awesome.

I'm a bit of a one for all that herbal stuff, am taking Valerian at the moment as I'm completely off Citalopram and wanted something less cannabis-y to help with sleep and general anxiety. It's working pretty well, girlthing is also using it for anxiety far worse than my own and it seems to be taking the edge off it for her too which is cool. She seems a lot less stressed, certainly.

But yeah, the stuff fucking stinks.

Yep, I'm massively into plants (have many more years' experience of using them than illegal stuffs, too.) Though these days I do see some herbs in the same way I view RCs - there's a lot of anecdotal stuff out there, but some plants are used by so few people that there's very little in the way of science to tell you whether you'll lose your liver if you start hammering something.

Damiana tea is lovely. I get quite a lot of audio enhancement with the stuff. I quite like the taste of it, though.

LOL that sounds very aggressive for the usually affable Shambles. You might need their skills if you get lost on top of Snowdon lol......

Anyway the aphrodisiacal effects of the Damiana were disapointing. Didnt notice anything different. Valerian root does smell bad, but i was surprised at how effective it was at inducing drowsiness and sleep. Im not gonna take it all the time incase i build up a tolerance to that too. Saving it for my next AH taper, just when it hits the wall just before jumping off, and i cant sleep all night, I'll have a fuckin nice choice of various sleeping aids.

Is anyone here organised or have brilliant memories to remember if everything theyve taken worked on them or not. I cant remember for the life of me if diphenydramine (sp?) worked.
