I used to watch this TV show called "Ancient Aliens" on A&E. The show is about ancient architectures, beliefs and cultures being linked to the possibility that the ancient Gods being idolized/worshipped in different countries, religions etc were Aliens that came from outer space.

I was born and raised as a Catholic, and I even went to a private school for girls back home. I have read parts of the Bible and at a very young age, Catholicism was instilled in my daily living. My father was a member of a different religious group called "Iglesia ni Cristo" which means "House of Christ" and he was also born and raised as an "Iglesian." My father is an extremely intellectual man and his reading through different books of any kind is insatiable up to this day. He mentioned to me that he has read the bible many times and that he could compare the difference in both teachings of the two religious groups and what he believes and what he doesn't.

After watching several episodes of this series, for the first time, it made me question my faith and belief. What if the Gods that were written on the manuscripts are not Gods but people who came from different planets who were ahead of us? For two years I had been trying to forget this information and that this is just some form of propaganda but what if there is a possibility that these Gods were Aliens? What are your thoughts on this?

Check out the book Flatland not really alien but a really good read that discusses multi dimensions and multi dimensional beings which i think "gods" could be
The anunnaki might be interesting to check out too

Flatland is funny. After reading it, check out the cute cartoon (which gets flatland women completely wrong).

There is a lot of disinformation in that show, but there are also great points, except most of the time they are explained in the wrong way by asking the ancient alien question. Disinformation came into the UFO field at it's peak in the 1980s, it is when you have one true and you create a ton of lies around it so people will not believe the one central truth. There are two things of interest that are true and are probably not related to each other but could be on some way - aliens are real, and there was in fact civilization before the history books state. This civilization had talent in lifting enormous stones and we today cannot picture how they did it. The Great Pyramids for example, all the evidence says they were built 12,000 years ago and earlier, no evidence says 5,000 years ago, just the history books.

The fact that the universe has different planets and galaxies made me think that there really is a possibility to all of this. The main thing that I am really interested to know is if these "Gods" that ancient civilizations worshiped had magical powers and to what extent they were able to help and develop some of the architectures, how they were able to develop these skills and so on.

the universe is a place of mystery and we know next to nothing, but still, ancient aliens is a pile of crap with no scientific basis whatsoever.

Say there were aliens that came to this planet - I wonder why they haven't come back?

Aliens and UFO's are a great money generating topic. There is next to no real evidence of aliens having being involved with humans.

What gods and what manuscripts are you referring to? Polytheistic religions? I don't know much about those, but I do know some about the monotheistic religions.

The manuscripts of the Bible are very well documented that Jesus' human nature was born on this earth. The genealogy of all the prophets are people born on this earth. No where in the Bible does it suggest prophets came from somewhere else.

The manuscripts of the Torah also clearly convey that Moses, all the prophets, had parents and were born here.

The manuscript of the Quran again hold true that Muhammad was born on earth, and there is much more historical information on the life of Muhammad.

Peace be upon them all.

What 'manuscript' verses suggest that 'gods' fell from the sky or came out of no where? I'm curious ;)

^ Could say the same about Jesus, no? :p

Jesus' spirit is alive and here, seek and you will find, you just need to know where to look. God Almighty will come on the last day - the end of time. Supposing that these 'aliens' return sometime I will be proved wrong. Until then I'll put my faith in the God that brought us here, and brings us back. :)

I was referring to the God in the bible and also, Ramayana, Mahabharata and such.

As I have mentioned on my OP, I was raised as a Catholic and had solid belief of Jesus Christ as the son of God and the Redeemer who died on the cross to save us from our sins. I never doubted this for a long time, but when you are growing up and you are learning new things and being exposed to other religions and other information you tend to question at least in my case.

If Jesus Christ existed, then when is the next time he will come back? No one really knows when the events in the Revelation will happen but if it's true, could this be the time where the Aliens/Gods will come back and reveal their true purpose of inhabiting the Earth thousands or even millions of years ago? How come there are no miracles anymore, no apparitions and such, if these really existed why can't we talk to God anymore like the Saints and the Apostles and Disciples from before? These are the questions that I have and I am not sure if I would be able to find the answers and this is the reason why I thirst for knowledge.

Ah sorry your original post made it sound like you don't believe in God anymore ("I grew up in a life of faith... now I question my faith and beliefs") my bad I read it wrong. (Got home from work not long ago - tired).

Questioning is good and doubting is natural. No one knows when the day of judgement will come except for God, but there's depictions of what will be happen beforehand (although some of those things happen frequently). I would disagree that "there are no miracles anymore," but that would depend on our definition of a miracle.

We can talk(pray) to God, and I believe he responds in his own way according to his will, as God knows all and knows best. I think sometimes we start to get in the thought pattern that God is our servant and should answer all our requests and do everything we ask, almost like we are commanding God to do something for us, when we are the ones who are servants of God and we should be doing what God has commanded us, for our best.

I do wonder sometimes why God doesn't send prophets from time to time to strengthen our faith, but could you imagine if there was a prophet in this age of modern technology and everything, it would be a mess, the message would get so muddied down in all the social media noise. Plus I honestly think God chooses to remain mysteries for a reason, it's a test, if everyone was handed the crystal clear proof right in front of them from the start, it would be-little our free will and it wouldn't be as glorious to find and know God on our own.

But why would these aliens (that were people) say there is eternal life if there isn't, say they are all knowing and all powerful? Why wouldn't they just stay unless they had a better planet they lived on. Unless they were sent by someone? My heads spinning now, time to sleep :p

Your questions are also my questions, and it may also be possible that the Aliens were sent by a Supreme God. I would have to add to your question: Did these Aliens create humans in their liking as a part of an experiment? What capabilities are we lacking that will make us as strong and powerful as them? What DNA?

I wasn't able to find copies of "Chariot's of the God's" but instead, found a book called "The Ancient Alien Question" by Philip Coppens foreward by Erich Von Daniken. I am on chapter two of the book and the First two chapters are as follows:

Chapter 1 - One Small Question for Man, One Giant Question for Humankind - Explains about the theories behind the first contacts of mankind with Alien life forms.

Chapter 2 - Ancient Alien Theories - focuses on the theories about how there are Aliens/Gods who are manipulating mankind for centuries to impose war and how these higher beings have made each human race with different skin colors for superiority over the other.

I have not finished reading the book and I will probably have a better explanation on the connection between humans and extraterrestrial forms but so far, it seems like most of the studies of these Scientists were put into doubts and not given chances to prove their theories. It just shows how most of us are too skeptical and shut information down if it's beyond the norm. I expect to finish the book in a couple more days and I will provide more questions regarding this matter.

^ Chariots of the God (from what i can remember) uses passages from the bible and things like the pyramids and other ancient feats of seemingly powerful technologies as evidence (as well as the nazca lines, the rosetta stone, etc, etc) for aliens coming down and breeding with primitive ape to create humans.. the aliens were much taller (giant "angels" in the bible) and obviously had much greater technology..

Sounds like you got a book on a completely different hypoothesis :)

Amazon?

Maya, the one you got sounds a little dangerous to get into, IMO, as far as skin color.

A girl I knew had ideas about alien involvement in human development, and part of these ideas (from books) was that, for one thing, blacks were built as especially a slave race. Whites (Caucasian? Not sure) on the other hand, even though still slaves, had more of their (alien, or "angel") blood in them... Sounds "Nazi" to me.

I have to admit though... That I am challenged to not completely write it off, though. "Whites" have made automobiles, aircraft and space flight, have led (predominantly "white" led/began) computer tech and the connecting of the world, modern medicine... but I mostly chalk that up to being forced to build a house instead of living where it never drops below 60 (being general), sort of. I really have no idea. I hope this doesn't sound racist. And I'd be glad to be enlightened. I'm not saying other colors weren't involved/arent currently, but just how it seemed to begin/flow.

The original party of Annunaki (Sumerian legend/myth) apparently numbered 23. I have a thing with the number. So this hits. I've also had a sort of abduction experience, but I can only say it was a dream, that felt real, and aligned with something alien/angelic, but human, or perhaps what human comes from for a lot of part. So I suspect some stuff, perhaps, at least about us. Not necessarily anything else.

I wanted to Get this book but when i went to another book store yesterday they didn't have it:

I was browsing at the same book section where I was told to look at and instead found "The Ancient Alien Question." When I saw the book cover where it says "forward by Erich Von Daniken, I thought why not give this a try since it also relates to my question "Where the Gods that our ancestors pertaining to were not actually Gods but life forms from another planet that have technological advancement of centuries ahead of us? I never expected that there will be a chapter about how Gods made us all different. In a way it kind of makes sense to me because even if Charles Darwin explained the theories regarding the evolution of mankind, it still does not answer the question, why there are differences in the colors of our skin.

In addition to this, I just remembered about the questions I had about Atlantis and the truth about its existence. I am crossing my fingers that I can find some information about it as well.
