Heroin An idea on how to control myself

Listen to these guys, they know what their talking about and not one person has said you will be fine just using occasionally because heroin is not a casual drug. Take heart tho because theres a wealth of opiates out there with less addiction potential.:-D

Make strict rules and never break them...but you should have done that way before you became an addict twice. Now, I'd recommend never doing it, since you have horrible will power. If you want to use heroin in the future, my idea would be to start off with something less addictive to heroin and see whether or not you can manage that responsibly. If you can, then slowly do something slightly more addictive. If you REALLY want to do heroin in the future, that would be my recommendation.

The good thing is you were able to quit twice, so if you want to give it one last go knowing that if you break the rules you're done, I'm all for it. I'd say the standard rule is use once every 3 days, never redosing, and never breaking this rule. If this rule is broken, even once, you're done for.

Good luck

Update on this status... I have been staying clean for the last 3 weeks or so, and I plan on keeping clean off heroin. I have also only taken two subs within the last two weeks :-)

Lots and lots of marijuana. And also just keeping myself busy to keep my mind from getting bored, because I figured something out over the years... I would only use when I would get bored, so I would be like... "oh, I am bored im gonna get high!"

Yeah, strangely enough I get the same thought in my head. funny how getting high makes boring, interesting!lol cannabis really is a withdrawal panacea, loads of people use it to get off addictive drugs. Shame it gives me anxiety attacks nowdays.:-( to be honest im lucky that even tho Im a cpp so im nearly always on opiates, I dont have any addiction issues with opiates and I metabolize them really well so dose maintenance is quite easy. Zopiclone however is an entirly different story.....
