i snatched up that book with a vengence
as if reading Huxley
would make me more interesting
(i wish for lucid worlds)
i don't have vivid words...

my words
are ordinary
small town
farm boy words
and even though
that was half a liftime ago
i remain lame
in the self expression part of my leaky brain...
sticks and stones
from her, grass and blow
have left
{scar tissue}
{bruises}
{achey bones}
the sun too
has left its mark
that spot on my arm
getting ever more dark
every single one of us a universe begging for exploration
but at the moment i haven't the
courage
patience
or inspiration.
