"R&B/pop songstress Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday, July 23rd. While the cause of death has not yet been determined, drugs and/or alcohol are suspected to have played a role. Her most recent tour in Belgrade was cut short due to her intoxication and inability to perform. Winehouse has publicly struggled with drug and alcohol addiction since her rise to stardom in 2007 with her hit song, "Rehab," from the album Back to Black."

It is sad when anybody dies but I can't lie, I'm not in the least surprised. It was an inevitability really :(.

Really said, but yes, no surprising at all. What a waste of great talent. Hopefully she had found the peace she was unable to find on earth

That sucks... :/

anybody knows what drug o combination of drugs may have killed her? what she was addicted to?

They don't even know for sure that she died from an overdose (safe to assume she did tho), or which drugs she was on at the time. I've read that she used MDMA, coke, crack, weed, alcohol, prescription painkillers and probably heroin at one point. I'm sure it will all come out in the next couple weeks.

how dare you say she joins the 27 club. she can join the the 27 club for whores.

Got with the wrong guy.... and this is sad but again not surprising like others have said. Rest in peace ):

I hadn't heard about her in such a long time, this is very sad but it seemed like it was coming from hearing about her trials and tribulations on the news
from time to time.

i don't find OD's sad nor do i find them unexpected. if you play with fire, you are going to burn.

Ive seen her before drug use pictures & after & she was pretty imo before the heavy drug use. The way she looked like after the heavy drug abuse made her look like she was abusing meth & crack. Its a shame, hopefully she is enjoying some peace now.

Eh, I'm tempted to close this thread since nothing is certain so far... My money is on an OD, but I'm not confident enough to actually bet anything.

First off I hope Amy finds in death the peace she deserved on earth. That said she does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Hendrix, Joplin, or Cobain she was an ok musician but will anyone listen to her in 30 years? I doubt it.

Wow this is so awful to hear but if it is indeed true I also have to say I'm not too surprised. It seemed like it was inevitable.

Such a shame :(

RIP <3
