Sorry just a quick question I've been trying to find an answer but couldn't. Anyway I know amt is a weak maoi, but can it still induce a hypertensive crisis due to tyramine in certain foods? I wanna dose but I'm not sure if what I ate was OK I know I know there are lists and what not and I checked but it said that meat that wasn't fresh can have high levels of tyramine as well as fish and I had left over london broil with brown gravy flavored with worstershire sauce and onions and tuna with relish and onions. but this was also earlier, last thing I ate was the tuna and that was around 11pm its now 5am. So I guess my question is could tyramine from a while ago effect me negatively if I drop AMT in like half an hour or so? Does it even inhibit maoi significantly enough to have any effect on dietary tyramine at all?

I ate "suspect" foods: aged meat, mature blue cheese, nuts, drank red wine. Didn't notice any problem, in fact the bottle of wine went down great.

This was towards the end of the AMT trip.

^^ What do you mean? If you take 10mg you'll be ok but if you take 70mg you'll drop dead if you eat a grilled cheese sandwich?

I eat a normal diet whenever I take moclobemide and have never had an intensive crisis. I'm not sure AMT is a strong enough MAOI to affect anyone. Stay away from tyramine if you're very worried.
