AMT-- Intense five minute come down

Hello, all. Long time lurker first time poster. I'm wonder if anyone could help me understand a physical experience I've had only a couple of times when coming down. Now, the following has only happened twice in about the two years since I started using drugs recreationally and I fully expect it will happen again. I'm not looking for a way to stop it from happening, I'm just curious as to what it is to put my mind at rest (or not).

Before I explain the experience I had this morning, let me describe a very similar experience I had about a year ago. After a lovely trip on aMT I had to work the next night. Naturally I thought it would be a genius idea to stay awake all day and not attempt to get any sleep. I took a small amount of mxe to achieve this (ok, and because I like mxe) and headed off to work. Everything was fine and dandy until about 9pm when I suddenly became nauseous. I ran to the nearest sink and emptied the small contents of stomach. I started to sweat profusley and my heart was racing, I thought I was going to die. I sat on the floor and my vision became increasingly blurred to the point I could hardly see. The gallons of sweat I was producing started to turn cold on my skin but my heart was still accelerating. I don't know how long I was sitting there (can't have been more than five minutes) but eventually I started to come round. My heart slowed, I stopped sweating, and while I didn't quite feel 100 percent I could still get up and still work. One of the customers noted that I 'looked like shit' so I went to the toilets to check myself out and sure enough I did. My skin was pale, beads of sweat all over my face and severe pupil dilation (although the pupil dilation I'm certain was still the aMT in my system).

The experience I had this morning was similar. I tripped two nights ago, again on aMT (aMT is the only good psychedelic I can get), and had a few bowls of weed. Again I had to work the next night and didn't feel tired so I decided to power through the next day. As the British goverment saw it fit to ban mxe for no reason recently I had to use another legal high to stay awake called ethylphenidate (very similar to methylphenidate/ritalin so I've heard). When I was working I was fine, no problems other than the fact there were customers. I had a couple of beers after my shift and made it home by about 1am. Unfortunately the speed kept me awake (I had kept redosing all day and night, think I must have gone through half a gram or so) so I decided to make a night of it; did a couple more lines and drank till I passed out. I woke up five hours later with an overwhelming desire to do a poo, which was odd considering my diet had exclusively been liquids for the last three days. I ran downstairs and made it to the crapper just in time. Anyway, without going into too much detail my heart started to race, sweat started pouring out of me and I think I passed out on the towel rail for a minute. Again, the whole experience only lasted for about five minutes.

This is one of the worst, most fear inducing physical pain I have experienced in my short life. Please, if anyone knows exactly what this five minute experience is or even have any idea what it is, please reply. Any information or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I forgot to mention. I have been using aMT on a regualr basis for about two years now. In the hundered or so time I've used it, this has only happened twice.

It just sounds like you are doing a ton of powerful stimulants/psychs without getting much sleep or probably taking care yourself. Eat, sleep, and exercise properly and you will probably avoid most of this issues, unless you are just naturally sensitive to the drugs you are taking. Doing speed to stay awake after a night of AMT is not too healthy. Just a little word of advice.

Yeah, that was my initial thought, I just didn't want it to be true. Perhaps it's time to break the "healthy living is for suckers" attitude...

truth has been spoken.

just watch after (and respect) your body :)

This sounds like a panic attack to me. I myself have been using a lot of stimulants the past month and it's caused a surge of similar panic attacks, so it could be your stimulant (speed) use that triggered them. I'd advise laying off anything stimulating for at least a few weeks, and considering laying off all drugs for a little bit. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, eat healthy, and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help, our Healthy Living forum can give you some great advice on how to improve your lifestyle to combat anxiety/panic attacks :)
