amt and propanol

So my friend had 30mg of amt at 1pm, they jus rang me and mistakenly taken 80mg of proponal half hour ago (ssprry spell mistakes) the beta blocker, will they be ok? Do i need to reassure them orget.them up hospital ? Worried for them slightly from the threads im reading!?!?!?! Quick responses apprecoated
 
I assume you mean propanalol? I know both these drugs, but not any reason why they would interact, what is it about this that is freaking you out? Internet search reveals...nothing.
 
Looking at mdma taken with propanalol (ty) to be problematic. Both drugs are similar in action, tho obviously not the same! Ever tried propanolon yourself? I have never tried it before, jus know ita a beta blocker

Ok, thanks for the linky, that led me a few other places. The quote is true enough, but I do not think it applies to aMT. Also, mixing propanalol with any sort of speed is contraindicated, but in practice people do it all the time.

Yes, I've taken both aMT and propanalol. The 80 mg strength is also going to be time released over 24 hours, so that should give you some comfort. If he starts experiencing tachycardia, chest pain, or dizzy spells, that would be a worry, so I'd watch that. We're not allowed to give specific advice on these sort of things, methinks :\

Might PM one of the mods or start a thread in basic drug discussion, they might have more knowledge than I possess! I'd really hate to be wrong about this :|
 
Thanks morphing for your help that has helped me and i have told them and they feel alot better, i will definitely watch for them signs tho jus to be sure, i thought this place being a harm reduction site my question wud be perfectally acceptable, or do u mean by giving specific advice on these sorts of things? Their heart rste is rising and dropping which gives me slight worries, i think they will be fine i have always been a worrier though, is there anything they shouldny takr? Paracetmol be fine for a head ache wont it ? :) again thanks morphing for the help ! Greatly appreciated
 
Glad to help, happy they are feeling better! The rapid decline and increase in heart rate is a bit alarming, but as long as it doesn't go above 100 beats a minute(threshold for tachycardia) I wouldn't worry about it. If your mate has a blood pressure cuff, I'd check that, to make sure it isn't less than 80/60, or above 140/100. Paracetamol is of course ok. Alcohol is to be avoided. Benzo would be nice for him, really.

Let us know how it turns out, so we know nothing untoward occured!

U think 1mg of etizolam will be ok then morphing, and i sure will let u know, im staying with them anyways jus gonna play some poker and check on them through the night, n yeh i do have a pressure cuff will take a reading now <3
 
1mg of etizolam would definitely be just great for the anxiety, might try half of it at first to make sure he responds well to it, 1mg is actually a large dose for some. Good on you for taking care of your friend!

Cheers to bl once again, the subject was fine after 1mg of etizolam, bp fine, i guess i jus got scared more than anything but better to be safe than sorry, hr slowed after the etiz, think their anxiety was psychological more than anything, i ended up taking 5mg of etiz this morning so feel like crap still , jus wanted too let everryone know they fine and bouncing around more than me, guess i shud top myself up with more etiz would 1mg help with this anxious feeling i have, plus got poker today like 1.7k in make up :-( wish me luck ;-)
 
No immediate problems with mixing them - much better to take something like an 'enzo' to take the edge off though. When tripping the 'expected' effects are normally much better than the actual effects. Take this and it will calm you down etc
 
Very glad to hear you're doing alright Bear-Head :)

While there may be some truth to the mixing of Propranolol with other substances ending up being not nice, I think the panic was the main concern for you.
Still, it's very good to ask for help if you feel you need it ;)
