well thats a tricky subject i think i depends on the person.. when i was a freshmen i would take 2 or 3 30 mgs of adderal before school of course i had excelent grades, however socialy i suffered talking to people would bugg the hell out of me and it felt like a huge waste of time.. i would finish my school work early and was obsesed with drawing mushrooms with intense detail it was like the world around was no longer there only the paper in front of me.. i started acting really weird and i havent messed with it sense amps can be good in moderation be carful

So to answer your question, yes! The pills are either bad for you or not depending on your intentions when taking them. If you're a really smart guy you might can find a way to trick the Adderall, like maybe opening a book so they'll think you're studying, but then doing something else after you swallow them.

Sometimes I try to talk to my Adderall before I take it. I tell him the context of the situation he's going to be used in, and then the Adderall either gets prepared for a day at the office cranking out numbers in excel and talking to folks on the phone or in meetings, or he puts on his partying shoes and affliction t-shirt to get ready for a jaw clappin rager.

In my past experiences with the guy, Adderall is very influenceable and susceptible to peer pressure. For example, my buddy Norcodone always seems to sway him towards "lets go rage" or "lets post on bluelight" or "lets do anything but work" every time they get together. If I could get the two of them to cooperate a little more with me, I would be a lot more productive. But man, we sure do have a fucking blast!%)

Adderall, dexedrine, even methedrine will not cause harm to your brain at therapeutic levels. You build tolerance so quickly, if your scripted them anyway, that you really can hardly tell your taking them. The therapeutic effect continues whether your cognitive of the meds or not. The rub here, is being able to take them within the parameters of a prescribed dose as opposed to escalating well into excessive ranges. I know few people who don't run out of pills before they run out of month. I also know few people it causes more than the occasional inconvenience. I don't know. or understand, the mind set of doing a months worth in a weekend.

what is "jam" ?

as far as the OP, amphetamines are not necessarily bad for you. if you are prescribed adderall at a therapeutic dose and don't abuse it (often anyway), it may have more benefits for you than any negative consequences. it really depends on the person, the amounts, etc. anyway, if you are validly prescribed a reasonable dose of adderall for add/adhd (and you really do need it), you don't abuse it, and you feel it is helping, i wouldn't worry that much about the negatives.

It's true it might help you study, and you are creating new pathways in your brain. The problem is that these new pathways are created on the amps. It's called state dependent learning and the only way it's going to improve your test performance is if you use the right amount the whole time you study, get the right fluids and nutrients, and are on the same dosage of amp at the time of taking the test.

I've been on scripted amps (adderall & vyvanse) for 2yrs

In my experience, my working memory is enhanced while on amps then gradually diminishes as the dose wears off.. altho it remains relatively good (above-average for me) 2-3 days afterwards; with no additional doses. I imagine this is because the amps are still in my system (blood etc)

For studying: If you have IR pills, the most effective MOA would be rectal. The 2nd best is sublingual (dissolve under the tongue)

Nasal (snorting) is good if you want a rush, but the effect won't last very long, you'll crash hard, tolerance will rise faster and you'll have to redose often.. So it'll probably be a lot harder to focus/study

It'll have all the same physical/mental wear and tear issues than taking it for partying or the like but that not a whole heck of a lot considering its widespread use throughout humanity for decades. definitely stop usage completely after a point though after the semester or earlier. just for a few days/weeks?

Everyone I know hasn't had any true problems from multiple amphetamine-like drug use except for the straight up addict-ability of them which is nurtured by the mindset of the high.

yet again though many many people have used amphetamines for performance enhancement purposes be it academia or sports, it'll likely work well to your goals. Just discontinue use after your goals are achieved.

If you use amps regularly for school (I use fairly large doses almost daily for school/recreation)... I found that to basically keep your healthy image, healthy skin, and weight from deteriorating you basically have to keep good nutrition and hydrate a lot to prevent muscle cramps. Drink protein drinks, boost, muscle milk, bread, pasta, milk shakes, nutella, gatorade, water... and take vitamins. Keeping extra good nutrition knocks out several bad side effects caused by frequent amphetamine use

Well I don't want to speak for everyone of course, and I'm not denying the shit has its uses, but for some people (and I place myself firmly in this category) the idea of responsible and controlled use of an amphetamine-type stimulant is a contradiction in terms. As you might be able to tell from the length of the previous sentence I am learning that lesson for myself (again)

Many however are blessed with stronger willpower than I, and if therapeutic amphetamine doesn't sound like the laughable proposition it does to me, then godspeed.

Really though, my experience has been that the more I do something on a stimulant the less I feel like doing it sober ever again. I'd posit that the best (in my mind only) approach in this situation is to force yourself to learn to work sober, or just accept you ain't gonna be working.
