Hello this my first post I haven't been on this forum for well over 3 yrs, I'm an experienced user for a little background I have been using for about 6 years now but it wasnt specifically amphetamines I only started doing ice in the last 2 - 3 years occasionally never habitually. But I do tend to over-do here and there. Well my question for everyone is after heavy use what can I do to help my body detox and to help my body deal with the neurotoxicity . Thx - DC

Good healthy meals , fruit n veg , lots of water and orange juice helps flush you out quicker =D

Lots of exorcise also gets your body working faster which will help get the toxins out of you quicker too , yeah i know you probably think cant be arsed doing that on a come down but once u are actually doing it you forget about the come down its self cos you are more concentrated on the work out its self but if that dont take your fancy go for a walk in the fresh air

I know some people that used to take Vitamin C suplaments but i dunno if it works or not, prob better just eating oranges them selves than the pills tbh

Milk Thistle is a good remedy for helping the liver so you could try that too :)

Oh and theres nothing better than a nice good shower to help make you feel fresh for the day too , i used to sometimes take about 3 showers a day on a come down and change each time so that your not having sweaty clothes on which is one of the main ways of toxins being released from your body so this helps in that way too

Best ways to Detox from Amphetamines (meth, adderall, speed etc.)

1. Drink Lots Of Liquids, preferably water! your body is probably dehydrated anyways.
2. Sleep. Sleeping is very important for your body to recover/heal.
3. EAT!! I cant stress this enough, you need those calories and nutrients.
4. Excercise. It will actually make you start feeling normal again after stimulant use, it takes time, dont expect to be back to normal with a week of excercising...but it WILL get better.
5. Sex!! yes, I said it...Sex releases dopamine which is what stimulants do, but sex is obviously healthier and natural..(Tease the monkey every time you get a craving, or bend your lady over :) )
6. Have a schedule and stick to it...Wake up and go to bed at certain times.
7. Daily activities!! (besides for excercise, you should TRY to communicate with people everywhere you go. Get those social skills back to par, and you never know who you may meet :) )
8. Buy thing's that make you feel better/look better. (haircut,new clothes,cologne etc.)

I dont care how long you've been addicted to a stimulant, if you do these 8 things consistently for atleast 2 months streight, you WILL feel better, in fact you will be damn near recovered...The cravings for the drug unfortunally dont go away though IMO, but that's okay you now have 8 other things to do to keep your mind off it.
:D

i dont think buying new clothes will help you detox , it might help you feel better about your self but thats all

well yeah- buy new clothes isn't going tell your mind to say "screw the drug" I want some clothes ... lol buying new clothes, getting a haircut, and smelling nicely will totally make you feel better, which in return can help quite a bit.

Thanks for all replies I have been doing mostly all recommendations. Other than excercise , regarding the clothes and making yourself happy part this thread wasn't geared towards any mental issues i was more trying to find ways to fix the unbalance I'm feeling when I abuse heavily the back of my head feels fried , like my brain is heated up cause over use . So I'm worried that I might be harming my brain permanently . I take centrum and omega 3 everyday and try to drink as much milk as I can and eating good healthy food. I've browse through the forums and found magnesium, vitamin e , selenium and alpha-lipoic acid are somethings I can take to help??

i have also heard that cayenne pepper is meant to work well along with milk thistle in detoxing the liver

i dont know what forms you can get the cayenne pepper in tbh but i believe the liquid form of the milk thistle is best but thats probably why its so much more expensive than the tablet form
