Is Urinary Hesitancy common in people who take Amphetamines?

Sometimes, on the end part, when I urinate/pee, I've experienced dribbling and urine flow decreased. Once in a while, after urinating, there is a bit of uncontrollable leakage.

I take Dexedrine IR (amphetamine). I also take ambien or low dose seroquel (25-100mg) for sleep as-needed/PRN. Do any of these meds/drugs contribute to the urinary condition above?

Yeah, it's common due to the fight-or-flight system being activated all the time. Try breathing excercises or a lower dose of amphetamine.

^ activation of the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) by amphetamines can certainly cause hesitancy symptoms. I can't pee on MDMA to save my life

If you are a man over 40, I'd say get your prostate checked out too, but if not it will almost definitely be the amphetamines..

Is uncontrolled leaking urine normal with amphetamines?! Once in a while, after urinating, I have a bit of urinary-incontinence/leaking! What should I do to prevent the leaking?

Do you leak a lot? Women's bodies (I presume you are a girl) aren't designed brilliantly; there isn't much space between the bladder and the outside world and incontinence can be really common..

If it is linked to the amphetamines, you might just not be emptying your bladder enough and it's overflow, in which case you need to try and go more often and try to empty yourself completely when you do (running water, warm water on your wrists and thinking about waterfalls can help!) Otherwise, strengthing your muscles around the bladder neck through pelvic floor muscle exercises can help a lot. It might be worth seeing a doctor if it is really troubling you, as you may have an overactive bladder and there are meds/exercises which can target that specifically, and they can also check it is due to the amphetamines and not another cause. Urinary tract infections can case hesitancy and incontinence - they usually cause stinging or burning too, but not always..

Okay, incontinence isn't as common with guys - but this dosn't sound like incontinence, more just dribbling at the end of urinating, is that right? That is part of the whole hesitancy thing, it's a common symptom for people who have hesitancy and poor stream due to other factors .. if it is leaking at random moments during the day it could well be overflow from not emptying your bladder, or it could be an infection. Men are less prone to getting urine infections (it's a logistical thing) but not emptying your bladder fully is a risk factor.

Seeing a doctor sounds like an excellent plan

Overflow incontinence is much more severe then a dribble or 2 after you finish urinating which is what I gather you're experiencing, right?

I get the exact same thing from ephedrine and urinary retention is very common with amphetamines and other phenethylamines. This is caused by vasoconstriction of smooth muscle of the bladder and blood vessel walls in the area and would be reversed by a selective alpha 1 antagonist such as terazosin however I think this would reduce more of the amphetamine's desirable effects as well.

Yes its a common side effect, I will wait a few seconds after I have voided to fully clear my bladder. If I don't shake it out I will get a bit of incontinence as well. Not so much im pissing my pants but ill notice a bit of wetness lol.

Your on a decent dose of Dexedrine so im not suprised at all, I am on a much smaller dosage of amphetamine. Also other stimulants and caffeine might not help so you may wish to cut back on coke/pepsi. If you are worried about it being caused by some physiological problem just skip 1 or 2 doses of Dexedrine and see if you still have the problem. If the amphetamine is causing this then 6-7 hours after your last dose you shouldn't have any problems or they should be greatly diminished.

I get a similar problem with mdma and some RCs, such as mdai and MPA, and the latter can cause an almost total inability to pee after a while although the urge to do so is constant and this becomes quite painful after a few hours as I am usually maintaining fluid intake with these substances. With MPA I find the effect can last well into the next day. Is there a safe herbal or pharmaceutical that can alleviate this problem?

Anyone got any solution to this? It ruins my adderall experience, I constantly feel like I need to urinate, take time to make sure my bladders empty (standing up and sitting back down after I urinate than urinate again), and I still get an almost endless drip. Then once it's finally done dripping, I stick some toilet paper between my junk and briefs, and sure enough ten minutes later I feel like a have to piss and am leaking urine.

I find this happens to me aswell, At first I thought It was a UTI or somehting but my doc assures me otherwise. The use of stimulants would provide me and you with an explanation. Helps to feel like were not alone. ADD meds will do this I guess but IMO it is worth it.
I would say limit caffiene intake with adderal, ect. cause coffee is enough of a diuretic on its own!

I have similar problems with adderall as well.
Not the leaking, but the decreased flow and constant urge to piss.
Pissing takes forever and I feel I have to force it out sometimes.

I have yet to come up with any solutions for this other than not drinking any fluids.
But that wouldn't be a very smart idea...

To the OP, don't worry it is quite common I was just talking to my girlfriend last night about this actually. During a night of smoking Crystal my buddies and me all experience it I just try to urinate more frequently when I am doing it and it seems to help at the end so I don't have to deal with it as much. But all I do is once I'm done I stand there and flex my lower stomach muscles repeatedly then release let drain n shake n repeat maybe 3-5 times. Then at the end just really relax like peeing in the shower in the hot water..although you already peed before you got in, know what I mean? Where you just totally relax and it will void the remaining culprits LoL.

How odd, Methamphetamine is a total diuretic for me, BUT I don't get that URGE to pee... its like I can hold it easily if I want (until it hurts)
But I always urinate like 500ml (almost 17 ounces) MINIMUM, everytime I get up to pee even if I don't have the super-urge I get normally

On my first few hits of meth, I SUDDENLY have to take a crap, but I lose the urge until it has been 2-3 days (which is bad) and it says "I'm gonna make sitting uncomfortable for you until you drop a load!"

I mean, I guess its plausible due to the vasoconstriction I'd assume...

This is going to sound weird but to anyone reading this that needs help with it. Due to severe abuse of stimulants and sedatives (no meth of coke just ridiculous and dangerous amounts of mdma and lsd) I've experienced this alot and sometimes bleeds into my sober life.
When your finished pissing push on the skin between your dick and ass on the ass side and massage from back to front and squeeze your dick from shaft to tip while doing it and clench your pelvic muscle
Mechanically our bodies are designed with a u shaped tube with the bend of the u being wider than the rest, if you have trouble with your muscles and can't finish voiding urine gets stuck in the bend which is what's coming out after you finish, doing the previous action literally pushes it out
