Stimulants Amphetamines and dopamine agonists

this is my first post on bluelight, (i love reading up and increasing my knowledge about drugs)

but anyway i take a low dose of pramipexole for its growth hormone increasing effects and prolactin reduction before bed. (Bodybuilding is my hobby)
When i take it when im sober it makes me drowsy and makes me fall asleep, but when im on amphetamine it makes me unable to sleep and makes me more frigidity.

my question is do these work in the same way to increase dopamine in the brain? Cant find much research on this subject.

No. Amphetamine has many mechanisms which (imo) make it very special and desirable. If such was so, I'd know about pramipexole being abused a lot. They may have some similar mechanisms, however. Do you get drowsy on just amphetamine?

not even close, i struggle to sleep on it all the time. Even when i should be tired from having hours of sex on amphetamines.
iv read that amphetamine is a dopamine re-uptake agent so it kind of recycles amphetamine allowing it to be active for longer? and prami is an agonist so it binds to the receptor for the time its active?

You don't have just amphetamine, you have different forms of amphetamines.
Also, if you buy amphetamines powder or paste in the streets, it's likely that it's cut with other substances.

Dopamine agonists work quite differently from amphetamines (which mainly release a ton of not just dopamine but other neurotransmitters as well, in addition to other more minor mechanisms). Dopamine agonists are not abuseable and don't feel anything like amphetamines. Which makes sense. Amphetamines are NOT just about dopamine.

I would skip the prami the day you take amps, combining the two puts you at risk for heart complications like tachycardia , and psychological side effects like psychosis for one...

The two are NOT safe to take together
