Amphetamine: What actually is it?

So I thought it was only a US thing but apparently these exist.

What I'm wondering is if anyone in EADD has tried them? I'm not really keen on non euphoric stimulants these days seems a bit of a waste of brain juices but I do remember tekkeN used to like them for studying and Cornishman if I'm not mistaken seemed to think they'd be more euphoric than meth?

What I would basically like to know is are these going to be any good in a club enviroment or are they sit at home and tug the end of it for a week material? I'm not really interested in the edgy anxiety causing stims nowadays can't be doing with it.

I can't really find much on wikipedia that really makes me want to buy any but this on erowid doesn't sound like your average crappy amp; http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=34099

Anyone tried it want to tell me is it worth a bash? I'm thinking probably recreational?

I should probably forget this before it becomes *one of those* escapades.

There has been only one occasion when MDMA really stimulated me, otherwise its just a mellow-laylow stim for me =D

Yeah, I've tried it. Excellent form of speed. Just like really clean whizz, with less jitters. Street whizz is generally levo-amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Levo is more physical, I believe, and perhaps more rushy - but dex is stimulating and really nice. It also doesn't keep you up two days, unless you redose. You'll find it as pleasant as whizz, if not more so. :)
 
base phet speed smells like nail polish

i got a bit of what i was told was base, ive had it before but this time it was a bit lumpy and had a really strong smell of nail polish and tasted a bit perfumery, has anyone else come across this stuff, duse anyone know what they are cutting it with

At least the amphetamine we get here is most commonly in paste form. They use a variety of different cutting agents (including shitty ACTIVE ones like caffeine, as opposed to inactive ones like various sugars), and for some reason they like to turn it into a paste. At least I know in some circles people hold to a myth of amphetamine paste being a sign of potency - anyone can make paste out of anything, it's just at some point some strong paste was going around and the reputation stuck. Paste is annoying to handle, and obviously makes the product heavier, without having any more amphetamine (not a big deal here, though, since the stuff is dirt cheap anyway).

Amphetamine I have encountered in the Netherlands has always been a mixture of racemic amphetamine and methamphetamine - sometimes as much as 35% methamphetamine, often only 5-10%. That's a wide margin, though, and meth being so potent and long-lasting, the stuff is unpredictable to say the least, especially when first sampling a new batch.

Paste is certainly not amphetamine freebase (which is a very volatile oil; put it in a beaker on a table and watch the shit evaporate in seconds); something has been added to the powdered product to make it into a paste. I've spoken with people that dabble in knowing people that have connections with people that organize this kind of stuff, and they say they only make it paste because that's what the customers want (they think that paste = strong). Methanol is commonly added to turn the powder into paste. You literally take a bag of amphetamine powder, pour some methanol in until you've got an appropriately gooey consistency, and voilà - you have ruined perfectly good drugs and turned it into something horrible which is hard to handle, evaporates a bit every time you take it out the freezer and open the bag, and requires users to dry it out before using.

I find Dexedrine (the dextrorotatory isomer of amphetamine, or dextroamphetamine) to be a completely non-euphoric, non-recreational CNS stimulant, and that's what makes it my favourite stimulant. It doesn't make me feel "high", it's less euphoric than racemic (dextro- and levo-)amphetamine, not to mention methamphetamine.

Can be used as a base for recreation at parties (eg. in combination with MDMA) to provide energy, but on its own it leaves me feeling focused, clear-headed and sober, motivated, and energetic. It's more of a drug for studying, running errands, cleaning the house and such things for me.

Negligible side effects with moderate use (highly clean central stimulation, no peripheral tweaking of twitching), but more of a functional drug than a recreational one.
 
Wow, get me these dutch contaminated MA samples please. My past few samples were all +60 percent although one had a few percents of 4-MA impurity (too little to worry though). All Dutch.

Time to find a better night apothecary :). It's amusing how people will rave on that the first drugs they tried were the best... Makes sense after years of receptor desensitization :\
 
Purity speed test

Can anyone tell me how you can test the purity of speed, fed up of baying shit speed
 
Where can I get a nice bit of proper base speed, all I can seem to get around here is shit that smell like nail polish
 
Clearly not or I wouldn't be whinging about how shite the quality of speed is :D

And just so ya know, there's a very strict "no sourcing" rule on BL (ie no buying or selling drugs and no telling people where they can buy or sell drugs). I'm sure you knew that and were just kidding but as you're a greenlighter I'd just thought I'd mention it before someone reports ya ;)

Probably not a cut but an impure product from the chemist, contaminated with P2P.

You can test speed using a regular pill testing kit.

What causes the apple smell that a lot of speed used to have? The old skool sulphate always smelled of cat piss or ammonia, but in the late 80's the smell changed to apples for some reason. Was it a different synth method?
 
I haven't ever come across phet with an apple smell, usually its a pissy/fishy smell (for good base) or sugary for shit base and then the polish powdered speed that was fucking rocket fuel was odourless, much like the d-amp i was getting

TBH, I've not had any speed that smelled of apples for a long time - ever since paste became the norm in fact. This is why I was wondering if it was something to do with the synth.
 
I couldn't tell you off-hand. Most likely an ester side-product from the synthesis. It takes very little to produce a strong smell.
 
Had some suprisingly decent amphetamine sulphate last weekend. Dried "base" that came from Bristol. Rocks were yellowy white with crystally specks. This is about 3/4g that I made into my friends name for his birthday....
