Amphetamine: What actually is it?

I'm not slating your sources. The best phet I've ever had locally everyone thought was rocketfuel, some Polish dude got caught coming up on a train from London, it came back at 23%, which the police deemed as 'would have been cut to make more'. The stuff from Holland though got a bit of mixed reviews, but on the place I saw it all the reviews were top because obviously that was the source, he had the test numbers of the place in Amsterdam that had labtested the pills and the phet. Even had d-amphetamine putty for a while. The original batch was the purest then I guess he saw what his reshippers on other less trustworthy sites were doing and followed suit a bit. Funnily enough it was that guys speed that put me off taking it, binged on it, probably constantly not far off a heart attack for a few days then subsequent 11 day comedown. There is a reason speed is cut for the UK ha :\
 
^ I'm well aware of the need for cutting phet in the UK cos I could nary shift a bit of it "back in the day" unless it was cut to ribbons. I'm merely saying I've never once since come across anything approaching double figure purity speed since. Ok, bit extreme, 20% at absolute most. I hope I'm one day proved wrong. But doubt I ever will be.

Incidentally, my ex-fiance was previously married to a major Amsterdam speed-dealer and they both agreed that speed has been shite since the early-90s. Not just me that thinks as such. Any speedfreak will tell ya the same.

I would tend to agree. Facetiously or otherwise. I'm well aware that I'm an old geezer somewhat rested on his laurels... I'm also well aware that I knows me stims and there is nowt even approaching double figure purity I've come across in the last 20-odd years. And it's not like I've not been looking, nor that many young pups haven't tried to prove otherwise. Doesn't exist. Just doesn't.

Well recognising that gives you one up on the rest of the rose-tinted brigade at least. ;)

I'm neither a young pup nor an old man, so I just tend to sit in the middle and be skeptical of both sides unless there's satifactory evidence (and not opinion) presented.

None of which protects you from a barrage of 40+ derision anytime you even dare question the supremacy of the drugs they took when they were kids, but you just can't win.

Rockstar - thanks for the link. Interesting to see that the stuff the Border Agency is seizing seems to be around a 50% average, which is actually far better than I thought. Quite a significant increase on last year too, you're right.

As always, the stuff on the streets (or even higher up the chain) doesn't reflect this in the slightest. That's been the case for as long as I can remember though.

I knew as soon as I'd typed that out what your response would be. Should've made it clear that I know you're still in the sexiest age bracket in the world (30-40) but it would've made my answer even more waffly. ;)

If it's any consolation, I would never have come across the (alleged) 50%+ stuff through my normal sources. Not even on a really lucky day. So I'm not at all surprised to hear people think speed's more or less extinct in the UK as to all intents and purposes it is.

What we've seen in this thread (and others) however, is something akin to 'I can't get good drugs anymore so it means there are no good drugs'. Which, as well as being fallacious-as-fuck is also pretty boring. Especially for this younger generation with their iPods, Blackberries and whatever. Ain't that right, Rockstar?
 
It may well be that I just can't get any good drugs anymore, Sam. And at this precise moment that is most definitely the case. This is a fairly isolated incident though. I just find it very hard to believe that I - as a hardened stimfiend - nor any of any of me - equally hardened stimfiend - sources are the only ones not to be able to score speed for shit. I've had no end of whippersnappers online and offline try to prove me wrong and all have been massive disappoinments. I suspect I was just uberspoiled early on when it comes to speed cos 20-odd years is a very long time for a stimfiend to be so far off the mark. One day...
 
That's the one Sam. Nothing is impossible to get if you really really want it. I accept top notch speed is fairly hard to come by but even locally there is usually not bad stuff about, my city is absolutely full of polish though..
 
It's shite, Shambles, but it happens to us all I suppose. Were I a hardened stim freak (I have my moments but I'm really not in your league by a long way) then I'd be similarly frustrated.

I suppose it's all something to do with traditional supply lines drying up and changes in drug trends. For example, demand for speed is probably nothing like what it was in the late seventies or even at the height of the rave era. Which seems perverse in light of the popularity of meph, but try mentioning speed to 'typical' meph users and you'll usually get a negative response.

I've seen acid virtually diappear from the street dealer menu, so much that you'd swear it's a rarity. And yet there's loads of it about. Again, trends, profit margins etc. have made their mark.

I'm dying to buy some speed now. The problem is I can pretty much guarantee it'll be rubbish unless I'm prepared to look a lot further afield.

True. If you went asking "dealers" for acid anywhere around here you would swear that it doesn't exist. I can assure you that it does lol.
 
eh, I 'd like to ramble and comment about the quality of phet, as it's been my DOC for over a decade but I'm not feeling very conversational atm. also got a lot of questions too, mainly regarding what BCF said regarding shitty synths and ones not being fully completed.

Hadnt bought any for a couple of months because I've been trying out other things, but yesterday my source had to go out of town for the first time ever in order to buy for us both. just under £4/g ( 28 ) which is the same price i've always paid from my contact* which normally lasts me ages ... and it's so so. just about to give some a whirl with piracetam to see if my kidney still shits bricks. hopefully the fact that it's not rocket-fuel stuff will mean it's a little more forgiving.

*dunno if that's ok pricing Sam, it's mine and for personal use. your call obviously
 
I never read page 30 before but it's contradicting page 16 which says 9% on average by what the police find. 49% for the border agency.

Page 30 doesn't really look reliable at all infact, the averages for coke are ridiculously high 30% in jan-march 2011, by police?

I would still say locally the quality of speed has gone up in the last 2-3 years. The averages will always be lower then what any clued up person can find because so many morons are buying 99% glucose.
 
Probably the strongest stuff I've had was pink and ate through the baggy. 200mg was enough to keep you up until the next night, so you'd be up for a good few days, from a gramme. Definitely good amphetamine. Agreed, though, anything from the street is normally piss-weak. The amount of times I've been told it's amazing, and it's turned out to be shite, is unreal.

Still got the cd case I would rack up on, tis corroded to fuck!
But the best pet was from a polish guy, 5g for 100€
was sparkly like fishscale coke, was a stable product (didn't lose any weight as it was a dry crystalline powder, ahhh would love a bit now!!)
 
Just buy a load of the cheap £10 a g stuff and purify it yourself. you'll probably get about 10% back but it'll be strong as fuck.
 
I've been wondering about purification since f&b posted his tek for such ages ago. Technique seems relatively simple, and shite (or "fuckin' amazing!!!") speed ain't hard to come by. Works out pricey to get any decent amount back though. More to the point: effort. Why the fuck it's so bastard difficult for any and every dealer in the country to source decent quality speed is beyond me. Aside from the fact any and all speed users seem to be perfectly happy with squidgy icing sugar anyway. Like all stims, it's gone a bit niche :\
 
So, forgive me for skimming through this thread, but did I hear that If you have weak Speed, theres the possibility of purifying it to make it stronger??
