Amphetamine Trouble

Hey BL,

Last month, I finished my Vyvanse script in about two weeks. My girlfriend was shocked, but we talked with my doctor and I received 15x 30mg Adderall XR to finish out the month. It didn't finish out the month, but it was nice to not have a 1-2 week crash like I'm used to when I take too much. Last month, my girlfriend's doctor swapped her from 30mg Adderall XR to 10mg Adderall Twice a day. However, the pharmacy must have thought the 1 in 10 was a 2, because they filled her script with 20mg Adderall. With my help, her script disappeared in half a month. This month, my script lasted a little more than half a month and I'm letting my girlfriend take some of mine, since I helped hers disappear without her knowing, but I'm going to run out in three days.

My girlfriend isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but if she were, she would realize how much amphetamine I am consuming for all of our scripts to run out so quickly. I told her I'd take care of it, keeping my fingers crossed that friends of mine would have something I could buy, or whatever... but they don't. I'm worried my girlfriend is going to be really upset when she realizes how much I've been taking, and I not only feel bad for taking hers... but I'm worried that I will still try to take hers even after this month. I've already asked her to hide our prescriptions and give us the prescribed dosage every morning, but I find them.

How should this issue be addressed? Should I talk to my doctor? Should I try to regain control after I put my girlfriend and I through a 2-week comedown that is my fault? Should I seek more amphetamines to finish out the month? (I don't think this will work even. Noone has any) Should I just say fuck it and whatever happens happens?

Idk. I know this post is garbled and unclear, but I'm really worried. I guess I shouldn't be. I've been here before, but I'm brokenhearted that I'm screwing over my girlfriend as well as myself.

TL;DR: Took my gf's and my script way too fast. Feel bad & worried. Wat do?

yeah, you're in a bad spot there man. You and me both. I think you can cross off getting replacement pills the legal prescription way. You are going to have to ride life out and hope it turns out ok. Hopefully you run into some luck.

To show you how bad it got for me last month, making a long story short about switching doses by my shrink, a prior authorization on my scrip failed to clear and I ended up paying $426 for my script because my insurance company was not liking me. Also I had told my shrink to write DAW brand name Adderall only so I was forced to pay full price for the brand name shit. So I have to actually pay money to kill myself, I can't even do it on the cheap.

damn what mg Vyvanse were you taking? I take the 70mg ones and I usually run out a few days early because my tolerance has gone up since starting Vyvanse a year ago, so I sometimes take an extra 1/3 to 1/2 of the next days 70mg dose,then have to make that up outta yet the next days pill,and on and on...but i luckily have access to some Adderall 30mg for free from a dude that does not like taking his meds very often , he prefers the "real" thing as in methamphetamine, but i don't like messing with speed dealers anymore,I am on probation still and avoid that scene plus i prefer getting something that i know is a certain dose and is not cut or has some other weird substance added in like can happen with street meth....anyway good luck i dunno what i would do...crach out for a long time probably..which would suck...

It is amazing how easily psychiatrists prescribe Amphetamines. I originally went in to see him because my suboxone doctor has me on klonopin and wanted me to have a shrink continue it,but he declined and said it was too addicting, so i brought up the fact that i was on 'adderall 20mg" off and on for school and work, and without hesitating he wrote me a script. HOW FUNNY he contradicted himself by saying NO to my BENZO meds because of abuse potential, when amphetamines are more tigthly controlled and addicting. this isnt the first doctor i ran into with the opinion that adderall is good to treat addicts and calm them down. ANYWAY he wrote me a 90 day supply of adderall 20mg, i RAN OUT in 2 weeks, yeah..ugh sad..so i called his office and simply said "im having problems, the adderall is making me feel too much physical discomfort" i was called into the office, and the nurse handed me a 90 day script of Concerta, and i said i cant take methylphenidate, so i seen the shrink, and i told him adderall was making me worse then good, and i mentioned i used to be on dexedrine 20mg, and he said "do you want dextrostat or dexedrine?" i said dexedrine, he said it isnt available in 20mg spansules, so he wrote me the 90 day script of dexedrine 15mg spansules, which in october im due for a refill, and im out already and just seen him a week ago, i been sharing with my girl and getting by to eat...moral of story is amphetamines are too loosely given out, i mean seriously amphetamines cause severe mental issues, especially violence.i dont understand it, maybe someone can enlighten me as to why shrinks tend to feel amphetamines arent addicting and they are beneficial to addicts and benzo's are a no no tooo addicting. Well i finally got my shrink to pop out a 30 day script of temazepam but he said in his accent "This is one time DEAL" this only for bedtime to sleep while you adjust to dexedrine, see you in october, goodday...lol anyone know why they are hard on benzos, easy on amphetamines?

70mg, Davis. Every month I convince myself never to take any extra. I have been running out about half a month early for many, many months. Need to convince myself that the comedown isn't worth it. Idk why shrinks prescribe it so easily.... but they do. It helps with focus and studying and my grades shot up after I got on it... However, it's obviously becoming problematic, but I'm afraid to ask to be taken off of it because it does help me. It's all psychological, though. Idk... I'll find the answer soon enough.

The only thing you can do is to ride it out unfortunately
Hopefully this will help to convince you to try get a hold of your use (I'm not having a go, just hoping that you'll be able to start cutting down and using less).
It'll be good for both your health and your relationship, as I'd hate for you to lose your g/f over Amphetamines.

I believe amphetamines like Adderall & Vyvanse are really easy prescribed too in the USA unlike other parts in the world. This isn't nearly a bad thing imo. Amphetamines are safer than Alcohol.
Same goes for benzo's like klonopin. Impossible to get here it's really stupid. How many people are self medicating with Alcohol. At least benzo's do not damage to the body like alcohol. Alcohol and Nicotine should be classed as schedule 1 drugs and amphetamines and benzodiazepines should be legalized.

Listen, Alcohol is the motherfucker of all drugs. Opioids too. Usually alcohol is involved in overdoses.

My psych doctor used to prescribe me Provigil and that was a rough comedown
The worst though was with the oxys - I would do the same thing: go through a
30 day script in 2 weeks. And the other two weeks feel like I just want to die.
If I were you, I would not go back and ask your doctor for more pills because
ultimately, he will lose trust in you. And you don't want that. Unless you find
a source outside, you will just have to suck it up until your scheduled visit.

But I bet if Amphetamines and Benzos were legalized, the # of deaths would increase drastically. Kind of wish I were never prescribed amps, but I like them lol. Yeah, I do need to get control of my habit. When I started, it was so easy to convince myself not to take more so that I'd have some every day. Now, it's very hard to not take too much even knowing that I'll be crashing.

How do I find out if my gf thinks I'm a crazy druggie? Only reason I was taking hers to begin with was because she'd give me some of hers in the morning to perk me up and get me out of bed quicker... I thought she'd be okay with me taking some but I went overboard. Do I have a problem? Do I talk to her about it as if I have a problem? At what point does use become a problem? ???

I wouldn't even know where to start "on the street" rofl (not implying that I'm interested in any illegal activities at all). I just don't know how people do that lol. && friends aren't looking too hopeful. Time to spend some cash on some L-Tyrosine. X'DDD
