thanks for the responses! yeah i don't really care about the euphoria, i just want to be able to study because i'm taking a lot of hard classes. it also helps with my other add symptoms so i don't want those effects to go away due to higher tolerance either. i take 350-500mg of magnesium citrate every day, usually all at once at night after the adderall wears off. is the night a good time to take it or should i maybe spread it out? is magnesium a strong enough nmda antagonist to significantly combat tolerance? do you think the study tolerance will stay pretty much the same even after the 140mg i took over 24 hours?
before i was prescribed it, i also used to take it for studying a year or two ago and i had a really high tolerance then. i didn't take any for at least a year and then i was prescribed it and my tolerance wasn't as high, or else i just was looking for the study tolerance, whereas before i wanted euphoria while studying too. now i definitely need it to pass my classes (pre-nursing), and i want to make sure i don't get a high tolerance where it would stop working for studying. i heard it's good to take breaks but it's really hard for me because i have to study a lot every day to keep up with my classes and also look for a part time job, so if i don't take it for a day i think i won't be very productive. and it helps me to not crave other drugs as well (i used to use a lot of recreational drugs but i decided to stop a year ago and have been pretty much completely sober since getting prescribed adderall, because as soon as i was started taking it daily, my desire to get high went away, even though i wasn't getting high from the adderall either because the dose isn't high enough. i've hardly even considered taking a higher dose of adderall than i'm supposed to, and the only reason i did it the other day was because it was the only way i could stay awake and study efficiently enough to pass my test. i don't plan on doing that again if possible). so if i take a break i'm at higher risk for using other drugs too, which i want to avoid.
also, sometimes i take baking soda to help the adderall stay in my system longer so i can study more. will this contribute significantly to raising my tolerance? thanks!
