Amphetamine Side-Effect Questions

Ok so i've got some questions for you bluelighters...

A. I know headaches with amp and coke are bound to happen. But I was wondering how I could prevent them from happening. Usually I take about 150mg Vyvanse which is like 60mg dex...

B. Eating? Its almost impossible on amp's for me, whether its coke, adderal, vyvanse, or concerta. How should I go about this nasty reduced appetite? because i know just because my body doesnt feel it doesnt mean not eating for 6 hours is good.

I'm curious as to what exact chemical mechanism is causing your headaches. Is it the vasoconstriction effect? If so a vasodialtor might work or get a script for some migraine medicine. I can't imagine just eating some food would cure a drug-induced headache. I did read though that if you have intense headache from amphetamine that is an early warning sign of a possible stroke, so I wouldn't overdo it.

when i started on adderall I didn't eat a thing for 4 days. Still even now, months later, I have to force food down. I've lost 40 pounds but I was in a position to lose 40 and be fine. I have no desire for food at all on amp.
 
Headaches are symptoms of high blood pressure. I suggest cutting down your dosing if you're getting headaches.
 
There's really no way you can avoid either of those side effects. I mean, I'm sure that lowering your dosage would significantly reduce your appetite problem & probably make your amphetamine-induced headaches go away altogether. But if you're not willing to lower your dosage, I think the best you can do is take Aspirin or something for the headaches & just force yourself to eat [or get switched to a more short-acting amphetamine, so your appetite will be suppressed for a shorter period of time].

Using drugs in high dosages is always gonna cause some side effects. That's just how things go.

All drugs are potentially dangerous in various ways, some more than others, some less.

Headaches are from high blood pressure. You need to cut your dose if you want them to go away. Same if you want your appetite to go back more to normal.
 
I have never got headaches. I have used a long time but I am far from hardcore. I also have no appetite at all but I have to make myself gag down at least yogurt and water. I know someone who can only force down ice cream.
I just tell myself its all psychological and I have to control the drug not let the drug control me...and sometimes this isn't easy.
 
I often get amp headaches if I take more than usual or take some after a break for a few days. I've found aspirin to be the best fix..
