I have long battled the side-effects of Amphetamine Salts (Adderall). I can keep an eye on the 'edgy-ness' that it can procure, but the physical cardio-vascular (CV) effects are almost always present. I can feel Palpitations, chest cramping, the occasional arrhythmia on inhalation, and other unsettling feelings throughout my body.

I have recently supplemented some Potassium Gluconate (350mg/daily) and I think I have noticed a decline in the negative CV effects.

Does anyone have any experience combining a Potassium supplement with amphetamines?

Potassium will help some of the cramping issues you may encounter. I highly recommend also taking magnesium coupled with calcium and taking vitamin B12/B6 during the first 2-3 hours of dosing.

Edit: If you still experience bad side effects- try eating an apple. Apples are pretty much the ultimate source of vitamins, minerals and nutrition for amphetamine use. I usually don't believe in natural cures/remedies (A lot of BS hype), but apples really do work.

Cool, thanks for the response. I am also taking a Centrum for Men Multi-Vitamin. The Potassium has definitely helped with the cramping and palpitations.

I'm just worried about a potential adverse effect between the Amp and Potassium. :/

Just out of curiosity I ran a quick 'Interaction-check' between the two and it yielded nil.

No? I take adderall quite often and potassium is usually part of my morning supplements.

I was worried about the potassium dosage being high -- as my MV includes potassium -- and I also take a low-dose of clonazepam with the amphetamine.

Try lowering your dosage if you get too much anxiety, palpitations, cardiovasculkar wierdness. or switching to dexamphetamine.

350mg of Potassium Gluconate seems like a high dose. The bottle i have has 99mgs (3% daily value) per pill... Is there a reason for this? Like why isn't it 100%? Is too much Potassium Gluconate at once dangerous?

Too much potassium at once without sodium/magnesium/calcium to "balance" it can cause cardiac disturbances and stuff, that's probably why.

Fish oil, fish oil, fish oil. Can't stress the use of this stuff enough. When I used to start feeling my heart besting fast or notice I was getting twitchy I would take a handful of omega 3,6,9 multi oil gels. It cured my problems entirely. Since I have been taking it daily and I now suffer no problems if I eat regularly and properly (although I take dexedine). I also supplement chelated magnesium at night time, zinc and coenzyme-10. Sometimes I take a multi vit (but rarely).

Honestly fish oils for me have been a god send for dealing with dexedrine side effects.

When I tried adderall I hated it. The side effects were unbearable an it turned me into a robot. Have you considered switching or testing dexedrine instead?

Interesting, i thought the potassium was more for opiates. I have always preferred bananas to eat when on meth as they seemed the least foul and traumatic to shove down then any other types of food on meth. And i never touch those unnatural yellow alien genitals usually. Perhaps my body knows.
