I was recently prescribed a bottle of medication that reads: 10mg Amphetamine salts, substitute for 10mg Adderal. If I wanted to take these how many would I have to take to get a good high? No tolerance yet as I haven't taken any.

Ya the doctor said that they were prescribing me adderall but I would likely be given this instead because there is a shortage of generic adderall in my area.

this IS adderall, there is no brand name adderall if you have instant release, not XR which would be capsules. if you have gotten these prescribed for a legit reason be very careful, amp abuse + cheap monthly supply is a dangerous thing.

Beginner's dosage for amphetamine salts (yes, it is indeed generic Adderall...) is 10mg instant release if you have no tolerance.

Don't expect to get really "high" off these though....Adderall has levoamphetamine, which can actually be a pro-anxiety inducing agent for some people.

Best bet with amphetamines (and all stimulants in general) for somebody without any tolerance at all?

-Start at a low dose.
-Make sure you're eating during the experience and more importantly - staying hydrated. Amphetamines cause dehydration and you must counter-act this by staying on top of your fluid intake.
-Take vitamins before and/or after the experience to help your body recover.
-Don't expect to sleep right after the experience has ended either.

I would recommend 10 mg - 15 mg mixed amphetamine salts for someone with no tolerance. I seriously advise not to take them daily for long periods of time, even if they are prescribed to be taken daily. Amphetamines are most efficacious when used as needed, as daily use encourages a very quickly rising tolerance to the pleasant effects and neurotoxic damage. So use them recreationally if you want, fine, but please don't make it a habit.
