i just tried ice, which my friends also called speed, for the first time this past weekend. are ice and speed the same? they explained it that ice was like uncut speed. is that true? is ice or speed a methamphetamine or amphetamine? i have been up for the past 48 hours straight with no sleep trying to find the answers to those questions somewhere on this site, but i just learned about the site wednesday. thank you for you help.

Be aware that slang terms (like "ice") have different meanings in different places, between different people. "Ice" is generally either 4-MAR or crystal methamphetamine. Depends where you live.
In Aus, if someone described "ice" as like uncut speed, I'd assume it was crystal methamphetamine.

This forum is about health problems caused by drug use, and you don't seem to have a health question. You should also check out the Erowid Psychoactive Vault . As Flexistentialist pointed out, what is called one thing in one place may be something else in another. Generally there seems to be mainly amphetamine in the UK, and mainly methamphetamine in the USA.
