Stimulants Amphetamine from phenethylamine?

This is entirely out of curiosity and nothing more but would it be possible to manufacture amphetamine (or even meth) from PEA? Amphetamine has 1 more methyl group than phenethylamine and meth has 2 more methyl groups than phenethylamine. If possible, how hard would it be to add a methyl group to PEA and produce amphetamines?
 
in the interest of harm reduction, its very hard, not worth it, dont hurt yourself trying, and take a few chem courses if youre interested in learning more
