Hey everyone.

I, as many other Adderall users, have developed quite a bit of a tolerance to them.
Anyway, it seems that the easiest way to reduce my tolerance is to take a reasonably long tolerance break(in addition to a number of supplements).

So im interested in knowing what your amphetamine tolerance break experiences have been like?
How long was your break?
Did you have any long lasting withdrawal effects?
How effective did you find the break?
things like that......

Any and all comments would be great!

First things first - Unfortunately your tolerance for amphetamines will never return back to point before you first used. A long break isn't the easiest way it's the only way. In my personal experience i used to have a very high tolerance in the height of my use before i got sober. I would take up to 350mg a day of Adderall. Tolerance breaks will always require a period of withdrawal and mine typically lasted a few days of mild to highly unpleasant symptoms. I believe majority of my breaks lasted a 2-3 weeks? I never did find them too effective. However these periods of white knuckle abstinence weren't intentional tolerance breaks. They were often caused due to an inability to obtain the pills. With proper supplements, exercise, overall regular detoxing lifestyle you should fine a 4 week break will lower your tolerance. Everyone is different, often you will need to experience it for yourself but you're wasting time if you don't wait more than two weeks

lol after four years of daily adderall/dexedrine use (was prescribed, but a very high dose, and i would often buy more and abuse it) it took 9 months of no amphetamines whatsoever to get my tolerance to a reasonable level. Although tbh, i was using crystal meth instead of adderall for the last of those four years.

I didn't experience any WD symptoms that were to hard to manage, although I was noticably unmotivated for 4-5 months after that.

I found the "break" to be very succesful, seeing as 10mg adderall plugged now gets me somewhat high, whereas snorting a point and a half of meth would do about the same to me last year.

It wasn't really a break, though, ai just decided to quit doing speed all the time, and i enjoy it much more now when i use it.

If you're trying to find out how long you would need to bring your tolerance down, you'll need to throw us some more info, like how long have you been using adderall, what dosage, and how frequently.

BTW I'd invest in some chelated magnesium, which can help prevent tolerance.
