Hi I'm thinking of running a cruise cycle of test ethenate @ 150mg every seven days as a T.R.T. I'm 50 years old fat, latheargic, no labido, suffering depression and PTSD and bipolar, want to get positive and healthy and active

Testosterone isnt going to magically cure your depression and make you lose weight.

Pinning every 7 days is also far too inconsistent. You should be pinning as often as possible for stable blood concentration, for Testosterone Enanthate EoD(Every other Day) is good.

Make sure to get bloodwork before you fuck with your hormones and see what your baseline is, steroids arent like drugs you can just go on and off and be back to ”normal”, this is a lifelong commitment especially at your age you probably wont come off ever if youre currently hypogonadal.

You also probably wont ”get active” if you have never trained before and dont know how to live a healthy lifestyle. Start slowly, get the basics down first, you might not even need TRT depending on what your bloodwork says

My 2 cents: Get bloodwork, check your hormonal profile and your biomarkers, start with 50mg Test E Intramuscularly EoD (175mg/week), get bloodwork again after 8 weeks and check your new levels, adjust testosterone and ancillaries accordingly

Good advice.

Except pinning enanthate twice a week is fine. Like Monday and Thursday.

Its fine but its not optimal, the half life of Testosterone Enanthate is 4,5 days this will not result in a stable blood concentration pinning 2x per week. If you pin on thursday then almost half the amount is out of your body by monday.

Also pinning less frequently results in higher hormonal spikes leading to more aromatization into estrogen and also lowers your SHBG more.

Pinning more often = more stable blood levels and less side effects

This is absolutely correct. I had my greatest results with every two days—every other day. I absolutely DESPISE how most TRT clinics prescribe it as once per week.

OP, 150mg will be noticed if the product is quality, for sure. I pray you’ll be eating properly and exercising heavy on top of it, though.

Once a week is horrible advice for a doctor to give for any ester of anything really, but I hear about it all the time. I've always pinned enanthate or cypionate E3D and once I got my AI dialed in I felt great.

I've also pinned it EOD and ED because I was adding in shorter esters of other compounds. Of course the more often you pin the more stable your bloods will be. I chose to do E3D because im on test for life, and I simply dont want to pin all the time forever. Scar tissue is another thing to consider.

Sidenote- when I'm just on test (at TRT doses) ive completely done away with big needles. I backfill an insulin pin and use that- and I'd never go back unless I had big shots to do!

Like others have said, starting TRT isnt a immediate fix all. I can't tell others to NOT do what I do, but I will say if you don't have your diet, lifting, and lifestyle together your just going to be a mess with higher test levels. Nobody wants to hear that- I sure didn't- but after years of bodybuilding I've seen that to be consistently true. Especially over the long term.

If I had to pin EOD I would use sustanon or straight prop.

ED or EOD becomes fkn tiring fast.

Monday and Thursday I have been stable with eth and cyp. doubt u find any real difference against EOD but try and see for urself.

But yeah once a week is not enough. big drop off.

This isn't necessary unless excessive aromatization to estrogen is occurring that can't be fixed by adjusting dose some other way. Twice a week is usually standard. The advice you're giving is best for men who are susceptible to gyno for example.

I have always injected test twice a week and my hormone levels are fine. It really depends on the person.

Also I have to respectfully disagree with your earlier comment that test isn't going to magically cure depression or make you lose weight. At 50 y/o, the chances that test can help these things is much higher, since trough levels tend to be quite suboptimal after 45 y/o. Of course, he'll have to put in the work to exercise and lose fat... but generally yes, TRT does help depression if low T is a factor.
